Are you doing anything fun this weekend? I'm relaxing. I've been studying trends and hacks for Tik Tok. This is fun for me because I love learning and trying things. From using sound effects and knowing how to trim them or turn down the volume to finding out which sounds help you get views, etc. It's all fun learning new things.

The only thing I dislike is that skits do REALLY well, and I'm just not funny. I wish I could capitalize on them but it's not in me. I love how authors are using the site/app - called BookTok. Authors are doing skits that make it sound like it really happened, then at the end you find out it's from their book. Many authors are seeing huge spikes in sales from using it. 

I did have one video kind of go viral (well, over 19,000 views from 5,000 in one day). It had no text or voice - just pictures and a sound. LOL! So I have to figure out what happened.

Duplicate and Learning Example

So I've been talking about how I learn from others when there's something I don't know. I'm using Tik Tok as an example, because it's something I haven't really done besides watching videos on it (until recently).

So: Fourth - this one's new... I find others teaching the same thing, implement them all to see which strategy or style I like best. I usually nail down 1-2 people I really like learning from. 

One good example is this... Scarlett (my daughter) had told me to use sound or song trends on my Tik Toks to get on peoples' FYP (for you page), which is their feed. Now I'm not really trying to go viral on this account, but I want to learn for other niche accounts I'd like to grow. 

So I started looking up how to spot upcoming trends on Tik Tok. I found a few people teaching this on Tik Tok. Now that I'm watching and liking their videos, I'm seeing more of the same come through on my feed and learning from others. 

Some people simply name a trend and others are giving step-by-step tutorials, which I like. So I can filter out who I learn from. 

I'm also learning more about how to *teach* on the app by seeing what helps ME most.
