New Limit 50 Survival Women PLR & Limit 24 Hr Hybrid Income PLR; $9 Summer PLR Sale; PLR to RSS Traffic; Business Envy

Thanks for the well-wishes y'all sent! I did finally test positive, but besides feeling a bit weak and achy with an occasional runny nose, I'm doing okay. So far it's like a cold. Hoping it stays that way then vanishes because I have a Disney trip coming up!

So this past week there was some industry drama that unfolded about a launch contest. I sat back with my popcorn watching the comments and rants and all. Keep in mind the top prize was not one, but 2 brand new mustangs. Apparently, two business partners promoted a launch and had a webinar during the last few days where they told everyone (with step by step instructions lol) to refund their purchase of a product and rebuy it through their link for a bonus.

Several things made me roll my eyes. First, the vendors barely gave a slap on the wrist with a feigned shock of disapproval (these guys bring in big #s, after all) by saying "I have no business advising anyone on their marketing or business practices." ClickBank turned a blind eye (same reason). A whole host of marketers ranted and acted shocked as everyone behind the scene laughed because we know they'll promote the same people once this dies down. And the affiliates who did it doubled down when confronted and acted as if it was a mere slip of the tongue during a last minute webinar (but has graphics of the instructions ready to go lol).

But I'd like to add something to this for those of us watching it unfold. No one is levying any responsibility or blame on the consumer. These are grown men and women who know better. Refunding to level up with bonuses can put someone's payment platform account at risk. It not only ruins the stats for the vendor's launch (making it look heavily refunded) but it hurts the original affiliate who now looks like they have bad stats. And honestly, it's just gross. If you want to bonus shop, do it before buying. Then, if you find another one you want, either re-buy the product a second time or ask the second affiliate if you can buy their bonus directly.

No, consumers don't get off the hook for this. Everyone's to blame - the platform for allowing it, the affiliates who used this dirty tactic, the vendor for allowing it, and the customer, too! It's "Ick" all the way around. Do you agree? Or do you just slough it off like that's just the way things are? (Which might be why it keeps happening).

FYI: Tomorrow's email goes out at 9 AM EST and if you need to see what limited PLR is left and see what big, discounted store bundles are available, go here.

Are You Building a Business or Longing for Someone Else’s Success?

As Theodore Roosevelt once said, “Comparison is the thief of joy.” And when it comes to making comparisons between your business and others, you are fighting a losing battle and sucking the joy out of life and your business.

When you compare your business with others, you’re only looking at the outside image; you’re not privy to the inner workings of that business and we all know how deceiving outside images can be. Just take a look at you social media feeds! You don’t know what happens “behind closed doors” nor do you have control over the actions of another business owner. Instead of focusing your attention on what THEY are doing, focus on YOUR end goals and the actions that YOU can control.

Change Your Mindset

I hear so many entrepreneurs say, “I should be further along than I am,” meaning “I’ve been in business for X years so I should be making so much more money.” It could also mean your name recognition factor should be higher after so many years. These comments usually come on the heels of hearing about the full calendars of other people or seeing a tremendous book launch. Who wouldn’t want that kind of success, right?

In reality, these comments stem from jealousy. Success always seems to come easily to others, right? But you’re forgetting – or simply don’t know – how long that person has been writing their book or how many ‘NOs’ they heard before landing their first speaking gig. Instead of wallowing in self-pity, create your own action plan to reach your goals (which don’t have to be the same as those in this example). Take notes about how your mentors reach these goals – some may even publicize their process in a blog post or eBook – but take that action plan and tweak it to fit your audience and your business.

What’s Your Definition of Success?

While you may marvel at a seven-figure product launch or extensive speaking calendar, you need to define what success means to you. Your goals do not have to match those of your mentors or other coaches you admire. Your goals should be very personal; your WHY should make you cry, as some people like to say. Once you define your success, you can more easily create an action plan to reach that success. Just remember that everyone has a path to success but they will certainly not be identical.

How Do Your Relax?

One way to get clear about your end goals and to plan action steps is to take time daily for self-care and relaxation. You need time away from your desk to quiet your brain and simply focus on something other than business. It may sound counter-intuitive but we hear stories all the time of people getting inspiration while in the shower, or standup comics who keep notebooks by their bed because they’ll dream about their next great joke. Relax your mind and spirit and allow creativity to find you.

Tiff :)
