New Limited PLR - 5 Work-Life Balance Routines to Stop Stress and Boost Success; PLR Summer Sale; Empath PLR; Why I Work
Published: Wed, 08/03/22
Today is my baby girl's 18th birthday! I could not be more proud of the young woman she has become. She's kind, smart, confident, creative and nurturing - just such a wonderful human. And she's beautiful too - reminds me of Snow White in the picture on the left - we love traveling together on mother/daughter vacations:

She is a senior in high school this year coming up (with summer birthdays here you get to choose when you start school) and will always be my baby, even when she's in her 50s. We're having a family birthday today with some food, cake and gifts and then next week we'll do a party with her friends. (Another girl had hers this week so we didn't want to crowd another party in).
FYI: Tomorrow's email goes out at 9 AM EST and if you need to see what limited PLR is left and see what big, discounted store bundles are available, go here.
Quick Note: Nicole Dean has her Money Empowerment Workshop on sale until tomorrow at midnight when you use promo code: 77 at checkout. This is a huge workshop/course and the code takes $220 Off the price of it.

Why I Work
Last week, I sent out an email about the 3 Cs of my success - creativity, consistency and caring. I got a lot of responses about that email. A couple of people asked me to expand on how or why I work to see what the motivation and process is for me.Today, I'll talk about the why and tomorrow the how.
You know, I got my first job the second I turned 16. It was a TCBY yogurt shop and I walked in and he hired me on the spot, needing someone to work the VIP lounge at a major tennis event in Dallas and I had a blast (also met my boyfriend there who ended up being a handsome doctor, but I broke up with him - foolish youth!). Anyway, since that day, I've always worked.
It's just what I did. My parents didn't make me or anything. I just wanted more spending money, enjoyed it and did it. I worked at a golf pro shop, I bartended (made $1,000 a night). I had executive secretary jobs (HATED those because I did the work and executives took credit - pfft!).
With this job in particular, I was working at a bank (in the administrative part, not a branch) and when I had my son, he was diagnosed with RSV. I walked out that day and never went back. I wanted to raise him. I started out by finding a link for Elance (now Upwork) on eBay as an ad, signed up and knew I could bid better and write better than what I was seeing. Started getting hired and eventually gained the courage to dwindle down my client list and become a competitive marketer myself.
My kids are my entire world. I work so that I can have a hands-on role in their life. I was raised as a feral gen Xer. We were the latchkey kids - no one home to greet us. No one cooked our dinners unless it was a special holiday. No one came to school events midday.
I wanted to be there for my kids - to do better. I wanted to give them the world. Up until two years ago when the pandemic hit, I worked hard to spend it all on them. (Well during my toxic marriage my now ex spent a lot of what I earned on himself traveling, and I also helped my mom out a lot, etc.). But ever since I closed the door on those relationships, it's been 100% about them. Even during those tough times, I worked to send them to the top private college preparatory school in the area - which costs about $34k per year each.
Now, I work to give us enjoyable family moments. I like to help them when and if they need it. I like that I finally got to take all my babies on a really great vacation a few years ago. I am STILL working to pay off that horrid marriage debt that I agreed to take on if my kids weren't forced to see their dad. It was worth it.
I work so I won't be a burden on them as I grow older. I want to have savings for my retirement and caregiving if necessary. And I even work so that I can afford to raise my four adopted doggies that I got from the shelter.
I could never not work. It would be a foreign concept to me. To just sit there relying on others or the govt to support me. It's different if you're unable to work or you're working and can't make ends meet - but I have always used any situation that brings me down as a fire under my butt to focus on my business and how I can improve profits and productivity.
Tiff :)
