Digital Rapid Royalties; How I Work
Published: Thu, 08/04/22
Well now that all my kids are legally adults, we're all going to go through a name change (except my oldest who doesn't mind his name because he has a different dad). Mine is going to be the most complicated with taxes, corporation, bills, etc. I got the okay for it during my divorce but kept my married name legally since it was the kids' last name. But now they want to be Lamberts (and also get middle name changes) and so then I'll be the only one left with my married name and I sure don't want that! LOL!
I have to figure out how to do it all. For them it'll be super easy and they've been waiting for this day for a long time. I'm dreading the technical process but looking forward to getting my maiden name back officially. I think I go to the SS office first and then work on everything from there but I wish they had a flow chart of what to do first, second, etc. Blech.
FYI: Tomorrow's email goes out at 9 AM EST and if you need to see what limited PLR is left and see what big, discounted store bundles are available, go here.
Note: I had a few jam packed days so for the next 4 days I'll be releasing both limited and a couple of unlimited PLR packs - be on the lookout for those!
Digital Rapid Royalties
PJ Coleman has a new 6-page quickie idea ready called Digital Rapid Royalties. This is about a specific type of digital file people are selling. It's a JPEG file based on a template.
It's a very short document, but if you're doin Etsy and want to provide digital downloads based on templates you can duplicate, you might want to go for it:

How I Work
Yesterday I answered the question someone posed to me about why I work. Today I'll answer the other question about how.My day starts with coffee and a check in of all my things. I open emails first to see if there's anything urgent. Then I go to my bank accounts and do my finances. I open all social media to network for a minute and read about how the world is falling apart. LOL!
Then I whip out my spiral and make my to do list. It's prioritized so that if I don't get to something, it's at the bottom of the page anyway. I try to get my profit-pulling work done first. Then I do whatever other tasks time allows, like building a niche site or even brainstorming new ways of doing things, reviewing products, etc.
I don't work a set number of hours. Or on any particular schedule. I sleep in until anywhere from 9 AM to 11 AM and I go to bed between 2-4 AM. I work out with a personal trainer M, W, and F. I also work seven days a week unless I happen to feel burned out and then I'll say, "You know what? I'm not doing anything today" and I'll binge watch TV or something.
During the day, I need what I call mental palate cleansers. You know how at fancy restaurants, they'll give you something to cleanse your palate between courses - like a small bit of sorbet? I need that for my brain between work. Sometimes it's between each page I write, and sometimes it's between tasks or projects.
So I work a bit, watch TV a bit, shop a bit, work a bit, eat something, work, play with my dogs, work, spend time with my kids, etc. My work day is spread out. Once in awhile I'll feel like having a large block of down time, so I'll wake up and get everything done ASAP in one sitting so that I can relax the rest of the day or night.
Everyone is different in what they need and want. I'm not married (thank God LOL) but for those who are, you may want a block of time in the evening to spend with your spouse. My kids are in and out of my space throughout the day, so I like being able to stop and spend time with them or go do something randomly with them instead of saying, "Oh sorry, I'm working."
My schedule works for me.
How someone works is more than schedule, though. I work methodically. I have two monitors (I never understood why anyone would want this until I had it) and I create outlines for content and use good tools like WordRecon for keywords. I look everywhere for ideas - magazines, news, social media, etc.
I work on many projects each day - I love that it's not so monotonous that way. I have fiction projects, PLR, niche sites, etc. The fact that we can be in multiple niches and have more than one business model is one thing I love about this career.
Tiff :)
