Dealing with Problem People

Published: Thu, 10/20/22

My daughter in law made us the best cookies the other day - in response to me sending over a batch of chicken enchiladas and seven layer dip. She even makes Scarlett's with fewer chocolate chips and mine with extra (as if I need that, but it's the way I like them). She's so sweet!

This week sometime I'm making taco soup (with fajita marinated chicken). It's so good. Scarlett's been begging me to make it so of course I'll do two batches - one for our house and one for my son's. It's extra work but I love doing it.

FYI: Tomorrow's email goes out at 9 AM EST and if you need to see what limited PLR is left and see what big, discounted store bundles are available, go here.

Dealing with Problem People

One thing I'm going to have to teach Scarlett is how to deal with problem people. Now over the years the kids have seen me react to a variety of situations involving others. There are five different types of problem people she might encounter. I saw one poor lady all excited that one of  her social posts went viral the other day, only to have trolls say mean things about her and leave her crying.

People can be cruel. Usually, they're maladjusted individuals who have not had a good life. They lash out or try to pull people down to their level. You HAVE to focus on who you're helping and what you're doing instead of the negativity that will inevitably come your way.

Problem customers are something you might have to deal with if you're selling products. I even had someone read a product review once and scold me because it was "top 10 science toys for boys" (I was going off a keyword I researched) and she couldn't believe I hadn't included girls. I had another post planned for top 10 science toys for girls. LOL!

You can't please everyone. Some people will lash out and say your products or services are horrible. Oh well. As long as you DO have people who love your stuff, let them go on their merry way. In my early years I used to fret about these mean people.

But now, I block them without hesitation and it doesn't even bother me.

Problem affiliates can be an issue. If they're doing shady things, or sending junk traffic and lowering your conversion rates causing everyone to think your products are awful, it can sabotage your business.

So cut them loose. You don't need to do business with people who jeopardize your success.

Problem vendors can happen too. You might be an affiliate for them and they don't pay you your earnings. There was a recent case of a PLR seller who we all supported who didn't pay her affiliates. I had quit promoting her awhile back but others still did and after everyone started chatting about it, she finally paid up.

Problem competitors can be an issue. As y'all have seen me discuss a lot recently, they'll rip you off constantly if you're succeeding.

Plain old trolls will also target you. They'll be strangers to you or just competitors who want to break you down. They'll target you about the stupidest things that have nothing to do with what you're pursuing online. Expect it. Know that it's not anything personal, even if it seems like it.

Don't be afraid to speak up, block or set boundaries with people.

Tiff :)
