New Limited PLR - Fire Your Boss and Work from Home; Staying in a State of Failure

Published: Sun, 10/30/22

One of my little rescue chihuahuas, Mandy (the first one I got in this group) was laying on my lap the other day as I was working. Normally, I dictate to my PC and clean up the content using my keyboard as it types.

Well her little head was too close to my dictation gadget so because she was snoring (she has a teeny tiny snoot and it makes her snore), it kept inserting words like "ah ok" because it was interpreting her snore that way. LOL! I had to go back to normal typing until she decided to move but if you happen to ever find a weird phrase I missed, it might be because my dictation tool picked up a snoring puppers.

Staying in a State of Failure

Do y'all remember those commercials "When EF Hutton talks, people listen?" Well that's how I feel when my mentor Craig Desorcy speaks. I listen!

He knows my long-time struggles (with weight or business or whatever it is in a point in time) and he sent me a link to this video where the guy is talking about how some people stay in a perpetual state of failure just because they keep moving the goal post on themselves.

Craig told me I do this with my weight, but that my list also might be doing the same business wise. So true! Basically, with my weight I do this constantly. I devalue any small wins like "eating right for the day" by immediately adding, "but I should have done this sooner." I then move the goal post so that instead of a goal of eating healthy that day, I tell myself I have to eat healthy for a month. Well that moves the goal post and when I slip up and miss a day, it's a big failure.

I also loved the way this guy described how, when our goals are too much, too long, too insurmountable for us, we stay in a constant state of failure. If we had a small goal, we'd even out or have more wins. But instead, it's an all or nothing mindset. And a goal of a month of perfect eating versus failure means I'm going to have nothing BUT failures when I do that.

You might be doing the same with your productivity, with your understanding of this business, or with the successes you're having. You might have a $100 a day goal, and some days, hit it, and some days not. But if your goal was $100 a day for 30 days straight and you missed a day or a few, you'd consider the entire goal a fail.
