As if I needed one more reason to adore Arun Chandran, this man goes and outdoes himself again. I told y'all that this pathetic vendor refused to pay his top two affiliates their prize money just because they were fielding complaints from customers who said the product wasn't ready the first week, they couldn't get into the group they were promised, etc.
It's bad enough to brag that you're not going to pay prize winnings (I mean, isn't that illegal? I believe he said, "Oh well, sue me" or something to that effect. Vomit. Arun won first place in that contest. A 71-year senior marketer named Fred won second place. Arun, being the angel he is, sent Fred his prize money from HIS OWN bank account since that other vendor refused to. That other guy could learn a thing or two about ethics.
As for me, I'm working and watching little hummingbirds fly through the sprinkler outside. It's so hot and dry here but we're staying indoors except for the trips to the gym three days a week. I hope it's not sweltering where you're at!

Rediscovering Your Passion for Work
As always, I've been knee-deep in my writing journey, trying to wrap up another (my 5th but first contemporary) romance novel. You know how it is - the soothing scent of coffee, fingertips on the keyboard, a universe of characters waiting to come alive.But I've got to be honest with you - I've been feeling detached from this branch of my business. Clean romance has its charm, but it's just not sparking joy for me - probably because I don't read it myself. I don't like any romance. LOL! I've found my thoughts wandering and my excitement waning. And I don't want to be just an affiliate marketer, info product creator and PLR seller day in, day out.
I'm sure you'll agree when I say it's essential to love what you do, especially when it comes to creative work. After all, isn't that part of the reason why we chose the paths of writing and online business?
That said, I've made the decision to finish what I started. I have about seven chapters left to write, and I'm already 162 pages deep into the story. I want to respect the journey of these characters and see them through to the end. It may well flop, or it might take off – but either way, it's a tale that needs its ending, and I have a drawer full of half-written books that always make me disappointed in myself. Lack of follow through.
Once I've put the final full stop on this story, I plan to dive headfirst into a new genre for me - thrillers. Something about the suspense and the high stakes is calling to me. I love reading it. I've got this idea mapped out already – and I was telling it to my daughter, Scarlett and my daughter-in-law and they loved it. It's raw, it's exciting, and it makes me look forward to sitting down and working each day. Most importantly, I can put myself in the shoes and mind of the characters - unlike romance.
I was laughing because although I'm SO far into the romance, one of my kids said, "Why don't you don't just suddenly change it to a thriller and say he was love-bombing her and she broke it off, so he started stalking her and she ran over him to escape?" LOL! Can you imagine buying a romance book expecting a happily ever after and that happens so close to the end? 😂
So, that's the update from my end. It's been a bit of a roller-coaster ride, but one I am eager to get started with. Speaking of which, how's your journey been going lately? Do you ever stop and reevaluate your satisfaction levels with your online business? I've found it's good to do that periodically - to ensure you're on a path that excites and challenges you in equal measure.
I do this with EVERY area of my business branches - PLR, affiliate sites, products, etc. I even evaluate who I'm networking with because as you read at the top of this page, there are a lot of heartless, unethical weasles in this industry.
