Surgery went well. I somehow ended up with a busted upper lip that's all swollen (they said maybe it happened when putting the breathing tube in but man, hard enough to bust a lip?). I am sore and weak and my throat hurts so I'll be taking another day or two off to recover. I slept all day when I got home under a high heat electric blanket because I was shivering.
Funny things that happened: Scarlett said when they took some sort of monitor off my middle finger it left some cotton behind and I was asking why I had a hairy finger now. Scarlett joked that they put hair growth serum on it and I was all upset saying I didn't want hairy fingers. LOL! She said I also told the nurses I love my own kids but I don't like other peoples' kids. Ha ha! This stems from conversations with my kids about how annoying my nieces and nephews were to me as a teenager and I always tell my kids that it's very different from having your own, but that sure sounded harsh.
When I'd wake up at home, my four doggos were loyally surrounding me. One even put her favorite toy on my chest. Awww. They didn't make a peep, just waited for me to wake up. I go back in two weeks for biopsy results then all this is behind me. Yay!
