I had to set an alarm so I wouldn't forget that the emergency alert system was going to go off today. I hate that sound and so do my dogs. LOL! The plumber came out and immediately found the problem and fixed it by turning on the hot water. Seriously? We'd had house guests the day this happened, and I guess they used an exorbitant amount of toilet paper. How do you address that with visitors? 😂 I don't want to micro manage someone's use of TP but I may have to put a sign in the bathroom or something.

Subtleties of Humanization in Marketing

I'm in some marketing groups online and there are always discussions about new strategies, technology, etc. I don't do cold calls, but I do know about them as well as chatbots, etc. 

You can usually tell when you're interacting with a chatbot on a platform like Amazon and to me, it's frustrating. I want a human. But I saw someone post this recording of a sales AI bot cold calling someone who had been on a website looking at buying something, but didn't. 

So the strategy is a cold call based on retargeting. The AI bot in this call sounds British. Take a listen here:

There's one subtle obvious AI element I could hear - the "ha ha." It would have tipped me off immediately that it was a bot. But overall, dang! Look how far it's come so quick. It knew how to pivot to whatever the prospective customer was mentioning and immediately pull in a way to overcome the objection. 

While AI might be able to replicate a conversation, your voice still matters, too. In text content, in videos, design, etc. Don't ever let yourself get mired in defeated talk about AI.

Anything it can do, you can do, too (if not better). Consider it no more of a competitor than some other marketer. Bring the human element into your content and strategies and you'll be able to connect with your audience authentically.
