1 Niche I Urge You to Pursue (and Why)

I know many on my list are already in this niche and before we go further, know this - there is PLENTY of room for all of us. This niche is fantastic broad OR narrow. It can be monetized in many ways because this audience is spending money left and right in this niche. 

They buy courses and guides, ALL kinds of tangible products - from home security to self defense, food, water, gardening, camping gear, first aid supplies, clothing and so much more.

Key takeaways: This is a niche you can feel GOOD about. Getting people prepared isn't JUST about a survival event, you know! It's also about getting people ready for PERSONAL survival events - a loss of a job, disability, health problem, divorce, and more. Going through issues like that and being prepared financially, with food, etc., is helpful to every person on the planet. 

You can go broad or you can narrow down and STILL make bank. You can focus JUST on survival gardening or JUST on bugging out and lead your audience perfectly fine.

You can slant it, too - women's survival, family survival, suburban or urban survival, small space or indoor gardening, or for a particular type of event like conflicts, natural disasters, or for a particular type of survival gear like all solar survival gear. There are SO many domains available for this niche!

Not only am I in the niche (I dabble and have sold some sites), but I'm a consumer in it, too. My kids were SO freaking relieved when the pandemic hit and mama's storage room was stocked up with plenty of food, toilet paper, etc. Our neighbors were posting in panic about it. But I was ready. I kept an ear to the ground so to speak. 

You can teach ANYTHING - cooking in a cast iron pan over a fire, camping out, self protection - you name it. You could even focus on mental preparedness or physical fitness FOR this specific purpose. 

I was excited creating the 50 Survival Checklists and that article popped up afterwards and I was thinking, they're a great starting point for people getting into this niche. It's obviously great for the consumer to use, but for YOU as a survival niche leader, they're great to teach you what you need to be blogging about or creating content about, too. 

You can focus in this niche with an info product empire with all kinds of guides or you can be an affiliate marketer - not just on Amazon, either - there are TONS of places with affiliate programs. You can profit off of ads, social media revenue - you name it. It's a good one. And when you get into it as a niche leader, you'll get inspired and be doing good for your own family, too.
