I had so much fun cooking for my kids last night. I boxed up a big care package and took it to my son and got to see my granddog. He's a husky and I miss him so much (I was here to raise him for several years). As soon as I pulled up he was being taken on a walk and I called his name and he rushed over to me and tried to jump through the car window.
Oh! I meant to share this with y'all. In the past, the Halloween niche was highly lucrative (I have been in it and you see a surge of income during the August-October months but sales trickle in year round for random costume events like birthdays, etc.). Anyway, when the pandemic hit, sales tanked. People weren't going to parties. But the niche has soared since and it's estimated that consumers are going to spend $1 Billion MORE this Halloween than ever before.
This is a niche where you can create a simple domain and have specific posts on character costumes, evergreen ones, Halloween decor, etc. Remember, too - people buy for all kinds of demographics including kids, adults, couples, group costumes, and even pets! The article says "The money spend on costumes...have reached an all-time high of $4.1 billion - more than pre-pandemic. And individual spending is up, too - hitting a record as well.
It's too late to take advantage of this for this year BUT this is something you could slow grow over 2023-2024 so that a year from now, your site is capable of raking it in. Whenever a hit movie comes out (like Barbie or Spiderman), go ahead and get the content or review ranked and then when the products are released, add your affiliate link. I once made bank with a specific site for baby snail costumes. Who knew? LOL!
