New Limited PLR: The Ultimate Guide to Niche Research Profits; Q & A

Published: Thu, 08/10/23

I went to bed last night after texting my son (my trainer) that I was tired and probably would skip today's workout. Then I felt ick about that decision all night so I woke up and asked if we could still train. Luckily, we could and I appreciated myself so much for kicking my own butt. I got a great workout in at the beginning of the day, felt energetic sitting down to work, and accomplished my work early enough so that I could now relax a bit and work on fiction later.

It's a long work day, but I will know that when my head hits the pillow tonight, I'll feel GOOD about myself. That's all you have to aim for.

Answering A Common Question

Someone sent me a message via private message on my FB Page (not profile) and I can't reply for some reason, so I'll answer it here - and it's a question I get asked a LOT.

I get asked this all the time (by some big name marketers, too). I only know what's brought me to this point:

1. Education-wise, I went to college for journalism, learned how to research and be creative (ethics classes, too). I also took a speed reading course so I can absorb information very fast.

2. Experience-wise, I have done this for 23 years, working for so many top marketers as their ghostwriter, then becoming a competitor in the marketplace with my own products. I had to meet tight deadlines - not only for clients but for myself. I was the breadwinner and had to churn out tons of deliverables to pay for my kids' college preparatory school and my now ex abusive husband's trips to get him out of the house - and now MY Disney vacations with my kids.

3. I built a very responsive list. Not an enormous list, a very targeted and loyal list where many have been with me since Scarlett was a baby. They buy from me, I listen to and know their needs, and they request things.

4. I am a newshound - meaning niche trends, demographics, etc. I lurk and listen and watch and research ALL the time. I jot down ideas before bed that pop into my brain for the next day and I run with it. If I'm in a bath and see a news story that's relevant, I email myself a reminder. I'm always paying attention.

5. I have templates for my sales pages (thanks to Arun Chandran and Craig Desorcy) so I can clone and edit those quickly. I also have a template for my Canva image.

6. I have my own systems. After brainstorming an idea, I create my cloned items first, then outline it in depth, then I create and launch it.

7. Dictation sped up my productivity to THREE times what I did previously. I never could make Dragon Naturally Speaking understand my Southern accent, so I started dictating on my iPhone (still messy). Now I use the built in Microsoft Word and although it sometimes makes mistakes that I hope to catch, or I forget to turn it off and it dictates me talking ridiculously to my dogs, it works very well. I can do 5 or more pages in an hour.

8. I worry. Worry fuels my productivity. I wake up and go to bed every day worrying about what if I can't come up with new ideas, what if people stop buying what I sell, what if I get sick and my kids have to support me? I just worry and it makes me want to work a lot. That's just the truth. And knock on wood everything's been okay to date, but I don't like having to worry, so I work.

9. I manage my distractions. Most people let distractions run them, but I allow my distractions to take place in small increments. Like I'll finish a task or page and then watch a segment of a show.

10. I don't try to mimic what anyone else is doing. I found my own way and it feels natural and fast and smooth. Trying to replicate others slows you down. (I have a lot of people ask if they can do what I'm doing exactly like I'm doing it - no, because of everything above. You don't have the same experience. Find your own way).

I hope this helps. I know I do a ton of products. I don't use a ghostwriter or team or anything. It's just me. I could turn it into big product launches like I used to but I kind of prefer the limited PLR model right now and I know buyers appreciate a limit on the number sold. I will add that I'm grateful that I'm successful at this, but like others, I still see myself as a failure and envy other peoples' journeys.

Tiff ;)
