I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving (or just a great day yesterday if you're not celebrating it). I had something funny happen. I was covering the green bean casseroles while thinking about making the broccoli rice
casseroles and I write on the tin foil what they are and I wrote "Broccoli rice casseroles." Then I wrote it on the correct ones. Then Scarlett mistook the fudge for the same thing and wrote broccoli rice casserole on that one! So basically every dish was a surprise when you lifted the foil. 😂
We had turkey, a red wine roast, brisket, mashed potatoes, stuffing, mac n cheese, the two casseroles plus a corn casserole, deviled eggs,
rolls, gravy and for dessert - this double cookie/brownie layered thing, a sugar cream pie, fudge, peach cobber and pineapple pudding (a sub for bananas). I was in a food coma afterwards. Sent a ton home with my son and his wife.

As for me, I'm taking a day off Friday to relax. Then I'll be back hard at work. As always, this is the time of year when I (for some reason) REALLY ramp things up with productivity.
I don't know if I like ending on a strong note, or I get fired up to start my new year in the right way - but I go into beast mode. It's also the time of year in about 2 weeks when I start planning my
2025.
Every year levels up because I go through this process - weeding out old projects, hang-ups, outdated thinking, fear, and more. I focus hard on what I want to replace it with and make a plan to do just that.
It's exciting to do it this way. Something I don't dread - I look forward to it.
And
yes, sometimes you have to trash something you've been working on because you realize it's not the right direction.
