Hi
Looks like I'm heading back to Vegas this summer, but not for a conference like we did the first time. This time will be some birthday celebrations (all of my kids were born in the summer). One of my sons has never been (nor his wife), and my other two went for work with me to that writer's conference - but Scarlett was underage so she couldn't gamble.
Do you ever have common themes that
pop up during the course of a day or week? This weekend it was "perception." Three funny (well one not so funny) or infuriating stories I'll share below today's PLR - and it might change how you put yourself (and your pricing) out there.
6-Week AI Niche Wealth Accelerator for Newbies – AI Assisted PLR (Just $10 - under $0.10/Page)
This is PLR called 6-Week AI Niche Wealth Accelerator for Newbies – AI Assisted PLR. I researched topics and worked with AI to come up with the outline of what went into it before having it deliver what I wanted. I played a heavy role in initiating what went into it. You can see an excerpt on the sales
page.
This is something that I can price much cheaper, under $0.10 per page rather than $2 per page for the limited PLR. This PLR will not be limited in quantity, and you can do the same things with it - edit it, put your name on it, etc. You can use it as an info product, lead magnet, emails, blog posts, social media, etc.

3 Perception Stories I Saw This Weekend
The first was just funny. It's an older story from a few years ago that was on the news but basically, The Payless company (they sell super cheap shoes) took a bunch of Payless shoes and opened up a "luxury shoe store" called Palessi (the name 😂) where an Armani storefront used to exist.
They invited lots of influencers for the grand opening and charged $640ish
for the shoes. They rang it up and temporarily took their money. The interviews were priceless - these "experts" gushing about how well made they were, etc.
Then they revealed that they were just Payless shoes. Perceived value and brand name. Positioning. That's all it took. You can see their
Instagram of the event here.
The next two have a sad or infuriating element to them. But still, it's about perception.
One story I saw was about a woman who met a man online who was 19 (she's older) and flew to Pakistan to marry him. She catfished him, too using a filter. His family shut that down immediately
and said, "Absolutely not." So instead of going home, she started holding press conferences. And there were TONS of news media - more than you see interviewing a president.
And when I say she was in charge of the room, I mean it. She had dozens and dozens of men with microphones asking her what she was doing there, why she won't go home. She was saying things like, "I demand $100k from your government to fix this place
up," and, "Mind your business. Step back." They were so shocked about her behavior that they seemed to almost treat her like a top government official or something. Very strange.
One elder man who seemed to speak to the community about her demands tried talking to the cameras and she held up her hand and told him he's talking too much and nobody understood him anyway. I mean...it was wild. You can look up American woman in
Pakistan and read all about it. The government extended her visa and even bought her a ticket home and she refused. She wants cash and citizenship.
But the mental health aspect is very sad. She has a grown son who luckily is in contact with their people to work on getting her home safely because it appears she may be bipolar. There's a lot more to the story of what all happened. But my point is, her ability to put herself
out there as an authority figure who was in charge worked. She didn't get $100k. But she had the authority to hold press conferences, get arrangements made, etc. She got lots of marriage proposals. When you see the videos, you'll understand - they were opening doors, carrying her luggage, treating her as a VIP. Just because she acted that way.
Lastly, this is something more bureaucratic in nature. Nobody realized this,
but our own Department of Treasury had always been set up to always approve EVERY SINGLE REQUEST for money. The payment approval officers at Treasury were "instructed to always approve payments, even to known fraudulent or hostile groups. They literally never denied a payment in their entire career. Not even once."
The perception issue is that Treasury, which controls taxpayer money, assumed that agencies requesting the
payments were doing the right thing and having oversight. So even if something was known to be fake, they paid it so as not to disrupt the system.
That was shocking to me. Primarily because they are eagle-eyed when it comes to incoming payments. Your tax payment is off a penny? Watch out. They're coming for it - with interest. LOL! But outgoing? Eh - take whatever. An "agency" said so. Perceived trust and
authority.
I don't have a specific point to make, just that as a marketer, this concept might affect you in a couple of ways. First, you should know the power of perception in putting yourself out there as an authority niche leader. Don't lie. But leave self-depracating comments to the comedians. Project wisdom and leadership.
Second, as a marketer
learning the ropes, spending money to learn and launch your business, don't always believe everything you see. People are sometimes liars, not just confident, in what they project to the public. And lots of seedy stuff takes place in the JV circles.
Tiff ;)
