Let's Talk About Holiday Niche Money (something timely inside)

Published: Mon, 08/29/16

Hi !

I had a wonderful weekend and smiled a lot and spent time with my kids. Made a wonderful manicotti Sunday, too - and we all enjoyed that a lot.

But let me rush on something real quick and then we'll dig in to my thoughts about niche money for holiday trends.

the reason I want you to go look at this FAST is because at the bottom of the page, right above the buy button, I've listed 10 available domains you might want to grab here:

Okay there, I did my part with urgency :) Now let's talk shop.

I have, over the years, owned a wide variety of holiday domains and may still (I never tell exactly what I own due to people tracking me and copying all my content). I've done Christmas, Valentines, Mother's Day and my favorite for profits ... Halloween!

Halloween is one of those weird holidays where moms and dads feel full court pressure to get their kid THE costume they want. Otherwise, you fail. And costumes and specific sizes sell out FAST. If you read that sales copy, which I embedded a FULL tutorial on, you'll discover how many costumes I buy for my kids each year.

It may sound indulgent, but you know what? We don't go to Europe or do all sorts of fancy stuff. So if I can fork over for a few costumes, I'll do it! (And I do). This year, my daughter is getting an ethereal ghost costume and a Greek Goddess costume.

I'll be ordering online because crowds? No thanks. I'm an introvert.

Now someone asked me yesterday if it was a good idea to go snap up all of these ideas I email out about. Nope! I recommend picking a few that you like, but not everything. Holiday niche domains thrive for about 4 months at a time, leading up to and during the holiday.

Then I like to have a few others - different niche topics and methods of tackling them. Some I do reviews and keep a hands off approach. Others I get in depth and play more of a hands on role.

With holiday stuff, it's great because there are that year's trends and hottest ideas (like toys or costumes), but the old stuff is STILL relevant. You'll sell Tinker Toys and also sell the hottest drones on a Christmas toy site.

For Halloween? You'll have Pokemon Go fans buying in droves this year, but you'll also have old favorites selling like the characters from the original movie Scream - or Freddie Kruger.

So this is a cool kind of site to have because basically, you can seed it with existing and new PLR and from that point on, all you have to do is update each year with the characters from movies, TV shows, and other trends like politics.

One of my hottest sellers? It was a blog post I made for an "infant baby snail costume." I sold hundreds of them. It was ridiculous. And I didn't know that would take off. It happened to be a little keyword phrase I found and did a post on.

SO easy to rank for those costumes, too. And one thing I love is that it's one of those demographics that goes for men, women, grown ups, teens, tweens, kids, toddlers, and babies.

I go onto my WordRecon (here: http://jvz9.com/c/5810/222284 ) and I type in a phrase like this:

baby * costume

...and I get tons of results. Like:

- baby angel costume

I then click "Drill Down" and it gives me TONS of ideas for that one costume. Great long tail keyword phrases I can rank real easy for, such as:

- baby girl angel Halloween costumes
- infant baby angel costume
- baby angel bunting costume

And your blog posts don't have to be long, either. What I do is write the following on my own sites:

- 1 paragraph introducing the cuteness or scariness of the idea, talking about how fun it would be.
- 1 paragraph giving ideas on recommendations of which are the best costumes for this idea that year.
- 1 paragraph summing up how fun or cute or neat it would be to dress up this way, along with other options they may want to consider.

Okay if you want to give it a try, grab a domain for Halloween costumes, grab my 50% off brand new pack of costume review articles at the link below, and if you want to, pick up the one time offer I have ($206 worth of additional costume reviews for over 90% off).

Sales are ALREADY coming in for costumes and they get heavy near the middle of September and through Halloween week.

Have FUN with it!

Tiff :)
