Ideas to Think About for 2017, Plus Ending w/Bonus

Published: Sun, 12/04/16

Hi !

Today is major housecleaning day in between work. I have the plumber coming tomorrow because not only did my master bath toilet start leaking and need to be fully replaced, but my water heater has malfunctioned (both are OLD), so that’s a nice $3k or so I get to spend RIGHT before Christmas. LOL!
What’s even better is my debit card got compromised yesterday so I get to go sit at the bank when the plumber leaves tomorrow.

Gotta love Murphey’s Law, right?

Really, though – I’m so happy with how life’s going lately, that other than a little Grrr and rant for a moment, I go right back to smiling and working and living life. I’ll handle it, and me and my babies will have an amazing Christmas together with peace.

So…

Let’s dig into a couple of things. First, two things are ending and I added a bonus to one.

– Protein Power PLR soars to full price tomorrow. If you bought it or buy it, I’m adding a $40 value bonus of three PLR packs from my store: Gain Weight (Value $15), How to Read a Nutritional Label (Value $5) and Ditch Your Dad Bod (Value $20). Just use the contact form at the top of my blog and send me your receipt and I’ll send it to you.

Grab the PLR special for just $7 here – and remember, Bloomberg said 63% of consumers are searching for protein info:

– Group Traffic Profits ends at MIDNIGHT EST tonight!

This product is a great course on FB Groups and includes with no extra cost, an image making software that’s easy to use and a plugin that I’ve already used to make my FB images clickable.

The price on this $27 course rises to $67 at midnight. It’s well worth it, and it’s by Brett Rutecky and Mike from Maine here:

Now, let’s head into New Year Niche Plans, because I’m all over that right now. I want to share what I do when planning to maybe start something new…

First, I look at Amazon. Their departments section has it all organized nicely and gives me lots of ideas. For example, when I see Sports, I scan and see Golf. I instantly think, “Would I want an entire sports site?” No.

“Would I want a broad golf site?” Maybe. But I’m a golfer and I know how broad it is, so probably not. I could do women’s golf, or just putting, or golf gadgets. I could focus on a problem like slicing.

When I look at a niche, I ask myself, “What tangible potential for commissions is there?” Ideally, I want small items like golf tees or golf balls, and large items like range finders or drivers for $200 and up.

I also want there to be digital potential. Golf has a lot of ideas for courses, like How to Break 80, How to Cure the Yips, etc. Even just teaching the basics, teaching games on the course (like betting), and teaching etiquette would be doable.

I then ask, “Is this an audience willing to spend money?” Golfers? Yep. They fork over cash even if they have to go donate plasma to get money to hit the links on Saturday. It’s an obsession.

I then want to know, “Is this going to be an easy topic for me to QUICKLY write about?” For me, golf is a yes because I’ve played since age three. Video game niche? No. Hunting? No. Fishing? No. Cooking? Yes.

I then go look at keywords to see what ideas I can get for slants. I ideally like to position myself as something fun and creative – kind of like the Fly Lady does for housecleaning. And I double check results.

For example, I found in searching for “cooking,” that people were looking for cooking games. I instantly thought, “How fun! Making cooking a game.” Then I double checked. Nope. People want to download animated cooking games for their kids. Not the same thing AT ALL. Never assume!

For cooking, I might be someone who, each week, gives a livestream or video tutorial on a fun Movie Night meal to make. Does anyone remember those from TV years ago? I was the kind of dork who prepared and cooked along with the host while watching the show. Commercial breaks were them checking in as they cooked with us.

It was called Dinner and a Movie. Here’s an example of the intro and I still remember dancing in the kitchen singing, “Beans and cornbread” when the song came on. Yes, I’m a dork. I don’t care.

THAT’S a fun idea. You could do a weekly cooking show, and lead up that week with what foods to buy, what gadgets to order to have Prime shipped to their house, like a vegetable spiral slicer, for example. Make it FUN! Have slants, like dinner for two, cooking with kids, etc.

I like to also consider if I’ll stick with the niche. Sometimes I don’t. That’s okay. But it’s always better when I takes off, AND you’re entertained with it. If you get bored, cut it loose. Or try something new to shake it up.

Okay that’s it for me today. Time to clean house and get some work done!

Tiff ;)

P.S. Prefer a weekly digest?
