Happy Thanksgiving!

No promos in here...just a message from me to you.
Here in America, it's Thanksgiving. For our family, it's a day when we wake up, turn on the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, and start cooking the turkey, casseroles (green bean and broccoli rice), mashed potatoes, stuffing, deviled eggs, rolls, gravy, corn on the cob, fudge, pies and more.
I love cooking Thanksgiving meals - the scents, the family coming in and out of the kitchen to chat and sneak a taste of whatever's ready. When it's all said and done, and I'm exhausted, we sit down and go around saying what we're thankful for.
We may not all be seated around a table together, but if we were, I'd hold hands with you and tell you that you have no idea how thankful I am for you.
Not a day goes by where I'm not aware of the fact that every day when my kids get up and head to their school, it's thanks to you. When I'm able to go to the grocery store and fill up my cart with food to feed my kids, it's thanks to you. When I buy presents for under the tree, it's all thanks to you. When I take my kids to the doctor and have to pay copays and buy prescriptions - it's all thanks to you that I'm able to.
That's so powerful. The way you lift up others and help them survive. It's not just about money, either. So many of you supported me with words of advice and support during my terrifying marriage and divorce. You helped me stay strong for my kids. Thank you.
I hope that in some way, I'm able to help you, too. With guidance, email replies, courses to help you get going - whatever you need. Sometimes it's just a shoulder to cry on whenever your life takes a turn for the worst. I'm here for you if you need me.
I love the camaraderie we have via email and on Facebook. I now have friends in all parts of the world, and that's pretty amazing.
Whether or not you're celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday today, I hope you take a day this year to just reflect on everything you have to be thankful for.
I'm about to start cooking. Tomorrow we go get our Christmas tree, and we'll play games and decorate the tree and watch Christmas movies. We don't do the whole Black Friday thing. Too chaotic for me. LOL!
Thanks again for your friendship,
Tiff ;)
