Read If You're Discouraged (Ouch Warning) ... Plus a Survey for PLR Users
Published: Tue, 12/27/16
Well yuck. Sitting here having coffee and find out Carrie Fisher passed.
Sometimes you just want to steer clear of the news, right? I remember
being impressed as a kid with how sassy she was in Star Wars.
We have to remember that life goes on, so we can't stay sad forever.
Today is Tuesday so I'm working on my upcoming Challenge. I printed out
the survey responses of participants so I can make sure I try to get
everyone's needs met. Yesterday was affiliate day, so I brainstormed
upcoming topics for my niche blog and outsourced some content for that
so I can work on other stuff.
I should get a product in the mail today to do a video review with, and
my oldest son is going to help me with that. I'm sure I'll nitpick myself
with sharper, more professional quality (which shows every flaw lol).
I'm also expected to get tons of fiction writing materials in the mail -
I went on a spending spree buying up those fiction thesaurus books (emotion
thesaurus, rural and urban setting thesaurus, etc.) - and I'm hoping those
help me become a better writer (always learn to level up).
-----> If you use PLR...
What topics and types of packs would you like me to work on for January?
I created a 2 question survey here:

-----> If You're Discouraged...
I keep hearing from so many of you that you're ending your 2016 with a look
back and the dismal results of your efforts. Mind if I kick your butt a sec?
Thanks...just putting on my Texas cowgirl boots. Okay, so here's the deal...
I want you to spend today not flailing around or beating yourself up. I don't
want you comparing yourself or wishful thinking.
Instead, I'd like you to take a good, hard look at what happened in 2016.
Did you:
- Procrastinate? (FB a little too tempting?)
- Fail to put yourself out there so you flopped? (it's scary, I know - tough)
- Act so stubborn with an idea that you didn't see if it'd sell?
- Over-analyze your efforts so bad that you never got anything off the ground?
- Claim your dog/kids/spouse/weather/alien friends were too distracting to work?
I get it. I really do. I'm the excuse queen. But you are either going to be your
own boss or you're not. You can't half-ass it (sorry for the strong language but it's
true).
I tell people ALL the time - would you accept your behavior if you were the boss and
PAYING a salary to someone who acts as if you've acted and performed this past year?
If not, then things have GOT to change. Consider it your warning. If you DID try your
best and are proud, but failed, then it's time to find out what went wrong.
Like THIS week.
Because starting January 1st, you want to feel that refreshing spirit of
entrepreneurialship that gets infectious once you start seeing success.
Maybe you need to start off with something small. Or spend 30 minutes a day
educating yourself about something because your skills are lacking.
I don't know.
But you'd better get it in gear, and I mean it. Because if you don't, you'll spend
the next 365 days wallowing in self pity only to arrive at the last week of 2017
beating yourself up again. Like ground hog's day.
Get sick of it. Sick of yourself and your excuses.
"Wishing ain't getting," as some people say. ACTION gets you where you want to go.
My son has a strong desire to go to college so he didn't sit on FB or Steam goofing off
- and he turned down holiday events with friends so he could sit there writing PLR content
to sell for his tuition. THAT is determination. He raised over $1,000 with 2 days left in the
sale.
He's 17 and he gets it.
How old are you, and have you gotten it yet?
Today I'm working on the first week's lessons for my Writing Productivity Challenge.
I love this because the people signed up to this challenge are GO GETTERS. They've said,
"To hell with excuses. I'm investing in myself and learning how to be faster and better."
I love teaching these types of people. I dislike seeing people on FB whine about lack of
money when I see them sitting there ALL day LONG commenting on random memes.
What's it gonna be for you?
Will 2017 be the year you pump your fist in the year with a hefty, "YES!" because
you DID it? Or will you slink off to bed and pull the covers up over your head in shame
because you KNOW you could have done more, but didn't?
Your choice.
For those who want to join me in my challenge January 2nd, here you go:

Really looking forward to helping as many of you as possible this coming year. Whether
you want my guidance selling or using PLR, blogging, affiliate marketing, or writing fiction -
it's my pleasure to be there for you.
I'm just a contact form submission away - don't be afraid to use it!
