Psst: This Is a Niche I'm in as a Consumer and a Marketer! Ideas and Domains Inside...

Published: Sat, 07/01/17

I'm planning on taking today off. I've worked really hard this week and I need some time to just chill out before I get burnt out from overloading my schedule. Monday is my birthday and I don't have any plans for it yet. I'm sure I'll be spending time with my babies - and normally we combine my birthday with the 4th of July, but this year I just want to stay home and enjoy life rather than get out and do something.

So today I got my Bug Out Survival PLR launched. I wanted to share some specific tips and ideas just with my list. And here's the $7 PLR sale when you get ready to check out the details and the additional tutorial video I made about the niche:

First, let me explain that I'm both a survivalist/prepper AND a marketer in the niche. Why am I a survivalist? Well it all started when I had to ghostwrite an eBook for someone else. It startled me to realize just how UNprepared I was. And then of course, I'm a newshound - so I am keenly aware of every threat that may or may not materialize. I'm not one of those survivalists that approaches it like a doomsday inevitability. I'm just not going to be caught with my pants down, so to speak. I have kids to keep safe.

So I started practicing what I was teaching in ghostwritten books - and then started marketing in the niche, too.

I want to share some of what I've learned from both sides.

#1 - Bug Out Bags are one of the most important first steps you can take. (It's kind of like saving for emergencies and paying off debt - you have to start small, with a $1,000 emergency savings, and then build up your wealth and pay off debt. The same thing happens with survival - start with a bug out bag for 72 hours, then build up for supplies and eventually off-the-grid homesteading if possible).

#2 - Survival is a niche where you're going to make sales off the whole family. This isn't something where one mom or dad buys themselves a product and that's it. They have to accommodate for their children and even their pets during a survival situation. So they don't buy ONE bug out bag, for example - they buy a set for EACH family member. As a consumer example, we bought bug out bags for my family and each one cost almost $50 a pop JUST for the bag, with no contents.  Then EACH member needs a water bladder for the bag, survival food, etc.

#3 - Checklists are where it's at for survival beginners. They don't know what they don't know, so using the word checklist (for the bug out bags, for first aid kits, etc) is important. They want to go through and mark it off as they buy it. Your links and recommendations provide a fast and easy way for them to complete their checklist.

#4 - The crossover niche potential is AMAZING. So let's say I'm learning survival stuff. I not only need to learn how to fish, but I need to know how to garden in case the grocery store shelves are empty. I also need to know self defense - and have products like tasers that I can carry. A hardcore survivalist also wants to get healthy because hospitals may be of no use in a dire situation. So with topics like gardening, think of all the existing PLR you can grab that's out there and simply tweak it with edits "for survival purposes."

#5 - Consider combining niches for a drilled down slant. Gardening for Survival - GardeningForSurvival.com is available! So is HealthForSurvival.com and FishingForSurvival.com. SurvivalFinances.com can help someone learn to not be dependent on the economy. It's available. So is SurvivalMealPrep.com - where you could teach canning and dehydration as well as storage of food. You could get an available domain like SurvivalHomesteadingTips.com and teach everything A to Z about living off the grid. Want to focus on the camping aspect of bugging out for survival? Try a domain like CampingForSurvival.com - some of my biggest sales have come from combining these two niches.

I have more domain ideas in the video on the sales page - specifically for the bug out concept.

This is a fun niche to market in because you can acquire products to review that you'll review and own for your own prepping needs, if you want. Last year, we bought so much stuff to review - hiking boots, water bladders, bug out bags, hammocks, MREs (meals ready to eat), first aid pocket guides, first aid kits, self defense and security products, and even accessories and gadgets for our guns (you can't promote the guns on Amazon, but the accessories for survival - you can, such as red dot sights).

My sale today is a great started pack for learning about bugging out. It's a set of 20 new articles for $7. Then those who buy it ALSO have the opportunity to add on 35 new product reviews for this niche. This is great for promoting all the items that need to go in a bug out bag - from mess kits to maps to water filters to predator deterrents. And the buyers also get to add on an existing pack of survival PLR worth over $300 for 90% off if they want to.

But it's reserved for buyers of this $7 sale here:

And the new Understanding and Treating Depression PLR sale that ends July 3rd here: http://s3.amazonaws.com/bigplrevent.com/UnderstandingAndTreatingDepressionFE.html

I'm off for the day but I'll check in on emails if you need anything.

Enjoy!
