One of the slants I recommend is that you target the pre-diabetic niche. These are people who have just been given a rude awakening and they need information and products to help them get things under control BEFORE a diabetic diagnosis becomes official. 

So domains like this that are available would be perfect:

- PreDiabeticCondition.com
- PreDiabeticCare.com
- PreDiabetesDietHelp.com (the diabetIC version is also available)
- PreDiabetesLabResults.com - Okay I like this one because it hits the nail on the head for people who have their results in hand, and need help ASAP. They go online looking for it. Your site provides ALL of the answers they need - what it means, what steps they need to implement RIGHT then and there - and the support they are seeking emotionally to deal with it. 

You can also go broad with type 2 diabetes, or target one of their issues like diabetic supplies, depression and diabetes, other health complications such as feet, eyesight, etc. Nutrition and testing blood sugar seem to be two of the hottest topics according to forum participation. You could go with a specific diet plan for diabetics, like Low Carb. 

One thing I might tackle if I were in this niche is the emotional aspect of diabetes. This niche could really use some great leaders who bond with their audience on a personal level rather than just spew facts and figures as well as recommendations at them. If you watch the forums, it takes a big emotional toll on those who get diagnosed with it - and you STILL get the same profit opportunities - it's just that you ALSO get to enjoy the "showing up to serve" aspect of this niche, helping people relax and approach it with a sense of calm. 

I knew someone who was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and they were so distraught and overwhelmed at the thought of having it upend their entire life. Not everyone feels this way, but many DO. And the good thing is, it doesn't HAVE to upend everything - it's just how it feels when you aren't knowledgeable and you're having to build new habits. 

Crossover-wise, the niche allows you to promote topics like diet, exercise, stress relief, depression, and even anti aging. 

So even when you're slanting your site for something like Diabetes and Depression, you STILL get to cover the treatments and solutions to help them get their numbers in check, but the slants all revolve around empowerment emotionally by getting a handle on the physical stuff. PLUS, you can then teach them stress relief techniques and recommend products for that aspect, too. 

I love niches where you can bond with an audience and many times, with something like a health issue - they have to reach out to strangers because they can't turn to their friends and family. They want someone who lends a shoulder for them to lean on.
