I Did Some Cool Brainstorming for You - Plus, Overachiever Mode!
Published: Sat, 07/15/17
This is round 2 of writing this email. I was on FIRE writing quickly and went to another tab and came back and instead of clicking on the tab, I accidentally hit the X button and lost it. Don't you hate that? Well, it's early for me - so I'll blame that. Yes, 10 AM during the summer is early - but I'm working on getting back on track because I have entered...overachiever mode!
Oh yeah, you know the one I'm talking about! The mode where you wake up one day and say, "Let's work on every goal that's ever slipped into your mind for even half a second - and let's do it ALL at once!" That's how I operate and some marketing peers of mine told me to just go with it. Even though I feel like Wile E. Coyote in the Roadrunner cartoon. I know ahead of time this won't end well. I'll make progress, but burnout is inevitable. I'll just ride the wave while I can, I guess.
So right now, my plans include:
1. Starting a new FREE series for everyone on how to create and launch an info product start to finish (it's inside my Learn Internet Marketing Free group and lessons will begin starting later today).
2. I'm personally going through a new course I got for a social networking site where I'm seeing great results in some instances for a couple of my niches, but it was a fluke and I don't know what I did to succeed. The course is by PotPieGirl (Jennifer Ledbetter) and she's always good at teaching web 2.0 stuff and she's mastered Pinterest, so I want to see how I can replicate my sales that are coming through consistently. I'll be blogging about it to let y'all know how it's going for me as I implement her strategies (I can't share her strategies openly but I'll blog about my thoughts). This is the course Lynn Terry was doing, too - I believe - so when you see others you admire investing in something (with time and/or money), you should take notice.
3. Blogging - I've been privately blogging for too long now. Time to get back to my roots and start having more open, non password posts. I'm also trying to move everything over from my old tiffanydow.com blog to my lambert one.
4. Fiction - I want to launch a new Kindle series and I'm going to start out doing what I did in the historical clean western romance genre - treat it like a business (since it made me a nice sum of money before I quit on it). It's going to be broken up into tasks and put on my daily schedule.
5. Golf and Fitness - My son finally made my 2 a week workout plans. And I'm going to use that third day of fitness for golf. Start with hitting balls and then I'm signing up for lessons again. I already know how to play, but I want a coach to spot my errors. This new blubbery body operate differently than my former svelte self, so it makes my swing totally different from before.
Okay let's get into some brainstorming for a couple of niches - I love this stuff - and some of y'all have emailed me asking me to do it!
First, let's begin with something I hadn't even known about until one of you asked me. It's about a PLR launch for a video course (already successful on Udemy) that was about launching a home recording studio on a budget. The PLR rights were under $11. So I checked it out, did some sleuthing and watched the videos, etc. Looks like a pretty good investment - I didn't go through the entire thing. So how could you use this as a niche as a profit idea?
Well, I asked my son - because just last year, he WAS the audience for that exact niche. (Scarlett is now, too - now that she's doing slime videos, etc.). Dylan needed to know things like which size backdrops to buy (because some were too tiny), how to do green screen videos, which tripods were durable, yet affordable (because his first one - the legs broke and almost ruined his camera), which lenses to buy, which mic would cut out extra noise, and so on.
So for using that PLR, even though it's all about everything on a budget, you can expand that - from budget to top of the line. Give comparisons. You can slant it for specific markets, like fitness videos, cooking videos, unboxing videos for makeup, toys, survival stuff - you name it, and music for example. All of them need a home recording studio - but not everyone can shell out $1,000 for a light.
Some available domain ideas:
- HomeRecordingKit.com
- HomeRecordingBundle.com
- HomeRecordingBudget.com
- HomeRecordingCheap.com
- HomeRecordingForBeginners.com
- HomeRecordingHacks.com
- HomeRecordingVideos.com
- RecordingStudioInHome.com
- CreateVideosAtHome.com
- HomeRecordingSetup.com
What you could very easily do is set up the course for a cheap price point and focus your earnings on the affiliate commission you'll earn when they order items through your link.
That's where we ordered all of my son's equipment - and he bought everything from camera lenses to backdrops (and the thing that holds them up) to microphones to lighting kits.
I myself bought the following for him (and no these aren't affiliate links so don't worry about emailing me to let me know Amazon doesn't allow that lol):
- This Green Screen for under $30.
- This lighting kit for under $56.
- This boom kit for under $200.
What I would do is have the PDF version of the PLR course linked to blog posts where I reviewed the budget equipment. What's cool about this is, you could also link them (from that budget blog post) to a "level up" item. Because sometimes, they THINK they want budget, but if there's a pressing issue, they'll be willing to spend a wee bit more to prevent themselves from having to shell out money a second time (like Dylan did with his cheapo tripod).
I promised a few of you I'd do a bit more detail about the home security niche, too - since I have my exclusive 15-page keyword article bonus for that sale.
I created a Brainstorming Tutorial for you - but really, regardless of what niche you're in, you may want to check it out because it'll help you research for other niche markets.
By the way - make sure you Download the FREE Success Planner that I created for you. Got a lot of great feedback on this one. The hard copy one is awesome. Turned out great. I'll be using these every year for myself to keep me accountable. (I can see it now - week 24: overachiever. Week 25: burnout). LOL!
