Q&A, Exclusive MM on FB for Xmas PLR, Case Study and LIMF, & WL PLR Bonus and Coupon

Published: Mon, 08/21/17

Today I'm off meeting the new teacher for my daughter - she's new to the school, so there's no former reputation to go off of. Might be good, since I'm a former student and I was a SLACKER, y'all! I bloomed late with my productivity - so Scarlett doesn't have to worry about MY reputation haunting HER.

I did laugh, though when I saw that my old high school English teacher (who once gave me a decent grade because she said, "Even though I can tell you didn't read the book, your writing on this essay was amazing, so you deserve something for it,") has now started self publishing on Amazon! Actually, that's TWO of my old teachers doing that.

Now, I could be the teacher to them. :) There are a few mistakes I saw right off the bat, but I'll refrain from approaching them about it since they were so cool back then to me.
Okay here's what I have for you today:

Q&A

Someone asked me about small niche sites versus broader sites. They're worried because they've been doing bigger sites that are broader. So here's my thinking on that:

Both work.

Yep. Not the answer you were hoping for - you want to know which is BETTER, right?

Well it's not really about that. Let's look at example of various sites I could do, making them smaller each time:

- Gifts
- Christmas Gifts
- Christmas gifts for girls
- Christmas gifts for 7 year old girls
- Stem Christmas gifts for 7 year old girls

What you fail to realize is that each blog POST serves as its own address on the Internet. So it doesn't matter if you have a broad "gifts" site - you can STILL do a "stem Christmas gifts for 7 year old girls" POST and it'll have the ranking power that a site has - it's all in how you grow your site (is it stagnant or growing?) and how well the content is - is it a bunch of cut and pastes nonsense or good, shareable stuff?

So the reason I create narrow niche sites like "toilet seats" instead of "bathroom" or "home" decor is because I know I'll be able to create more for a specific topic than for a broader one based on MY TIME. I can't do one each of bathroom, living room, bedroom, dining room, etc. each week. But I CAN do a toilet seat one each week. However, I don't want to pain myself in a corner by only choosing to do purple, heated toilet seats - because then I won't have ENOUGH to write about.

So focus more on organizing your site and making sure you can post in those categories or topics regularly and go with that :)

Okay I'm back to work. I have a course I'm working on for y'all about blogging for newbies.

Tiff ;)
