Today...

I've written and deleted my email to you several times.

Nothing sounds right to say or do.

So I'll just say this:

My heart hurts for what happened last night in Vegas.

I'm spending today trying to put aside what I've seen and heard in video footage so I can have a smile on my face and hug my baby girl after her game tonight.

I'm sad and I'm angry.

I hate it when I feel paralyzed by emotions. It feels like they (bad guys) win when it gets to me this much.

So I'm taking time to absorb it all and recover today. I hope you take care of yourself and enjoy time with your loved ones tonight.

We can't erase what just happened, but we can choose to either be a good force in this world or get mired down in hostility with one another.
