If You're Being Ignored in the Marketplace, Do This (Plus More)!
Published: Thu, 11/09/17
I've been working hardcore - on my launch coming up Tuesday - but also spending lots of time working on myself in training, so it's taking up part of my day, every day. It's cold here - 40s and rainy. It's been so cozy, but that's not good when you're busy!
I had a little aha moment I wanted to share with you. I jokingly asked my FB buddies what "alter ego" name I should have for my journey in weight loss. I wanted something psycho-insane and brutal because this person training and going through this - the hardest thing I've ever done in my life - needs to be unstoppable. While everyone was tossing out names like Xena and Negan (ha ha) - my son Dylan (my trainer) simply said, "Mom, YOU are the psycho one. You don't need an alter ego name."
We were joking, but really, as I sat there biking (I'm up to over 13 miles in an hour), I realized it's true. Not the psycho part (okay maybe a little lol). But the part that this is me. No need to develop some OTHER person to handle this. I got this. Made me feel very good. So don't think you have to BECOME someone else to achieve your goals. YOU got this. You have it in you. Right now, you're just letting the weaker mindset rule the roost sometimes and you have to play king of the mountain and topple it if you want to win.
Okay enough mushy talk - let's get strategic.
I was SO thrilled when I saw something off the wall - not typical of our marketplace. I got access to it so I could review it for you.
SO many of you are timid with video and audio and you just want to stay behind the safety of text forever, right? It's just NOT smart to do that because video and audio are the media formats people MOST respond to to connect with you. You could read my words all day long, but seeing me on video is what has bonded me with so many of you.
And some of you have tried video and it just didn't work.
Well guess what?
I found a course that teaches you how to use visceral language. This is what people SEE when you speak. It has a HUGE impact and this is an amazing course. I was blown away. It helps you with the emotional connection. (I've seen many videos by marketers who look like Stepford Wives types - monotone, fake smile, fear emanating from their face). Don't do that!
I suggest it for all of you - NOT just the people scared of video, but even those using it now (could see HUGE improvements).
I loved it.

The creator of the course (Arthur Samuel Joseph) is the guy many celebrities and executives use to help them onscreen (news personalities, etc.). He was Tony Robbins' vocal trainer - and we all know how powerful he is. It helps you capture peoples' attention. You'll be doing these exercises to help you use your voice strategically. Powerful stuff.

The Benefit of Being Present
As I go through my tough journey and work on my business, I find more and more solace in just focusing on right here, right now. It's SO hard not to look back at what caused everything - but what TIME that wastes! And what iffing into my future is just as stupid. There is NOTHING I can do about the past or future but I CAN do something right this second - whatever action I want to take to impact my future is in the NOW.
I feel like many people (me included) want something to blame for why we're not where we want to be in life. And we want to think about the future because we feel like maybe if we prepare ourselves, then we can avoid some added damage or pain.
The truth is, both looking back and forward steal our productivity and sabotage our success. I want to WIN at everything I'm doing and being fully focused on right this second is helping me make great strides. I hope it will work for you, too.
Tiff ;)
