The Most Important 10 Days, Niche News w/Idea to Consider, My Under $5 Buy

Published: Thu, 12/21/17

I spent 10 hours out finishing up shopping yesterday and then came home, took a hot bubble bath and relaxed with a new book. Felt good to get my year wrapped up (literally and figuratively). I cut down on gifts this year because I want to really expedite my debt payoff and my kids told me, "Mom, get us less and get free of that debt chain!" So I listened to them. They're far wiser than me at times. I just want to give them the world.

The Most Important 10 Days

Well as we bring 2017 to an end, we need to both look back and plan forward. That's what I'm doing for the 10 most important days of the year - starting tomorrow through the 31st. This is when you need to sit down and take a good, hard look at what you did. Were you duped? Were you a slacker or procrastinator? Did you quit on yourself when really, you had more in you? Did you try to get rich quick when you know that real, steady implementation and business building would have done so much more for your business?

What does 2018 look like for you?

For me, it means outsourcing Kindle publishing (I haven't gotten my first book back yet but I'm not in a rush and I trust her to do a great job). It means working on more affiliate marketing sites and courses of my own projects. What's new? I want to try some Udemy. I have lots of good info I could teach on there for all sorts of topics and I just have to learn how it works. I also want to try some new strategies I haven't yet mastered like paid ads.

Take time to plan. Remember, the FREE planner I made for you is here and it has 52 weeks of planning with a lesson before each month's worth and a series of guided questions to help you focus and make better business decisions EACH week:

In 10 days, we start a new challenge on how to build an accessory site - a site not dedicated to main products in a niche, but all the accessory items that help you get your foot in the door and earn money while your competition is focused on converting the primary products. Price goes up on December 26th:

One thing you may want to consider when you're working with affiliate sites, is IF you're using Amazon for any of your promos, they have ugly looking image ads. Why they can't get with the program and make it nicer looking is beyond me. So you can use a plugin to make it look better.

If you don't know what I mean, watch Kurt's demo on the image ads here:

Niche News to Consider

I've been so busy this week but I keep seeing things in the news that I wanted to mention to you for consideration of your 2018 plans.

First, the stress niche. I saw a gallop poll where they were saying that EIGHT in TEN Americans are riddled with major stress. Four in 10 say it's a time factor - so pair time with stress in your niche. They say they can't find time for things they WANT to do (not NEED to do), so maybe think about that.

Other findings:

Aged 50 and older were LESS stressed than the younger crowd, and work and kids were the two top stress factors due to time obligations. Both men and women lack time but women felt more stressed about it.

Profit-wise, what could you do to cater to this crowd?

I would think of things that save time - like delivery meals or meal prep (Blue Apron, etc.) where you make a commission. Yes, some WAH products where you teach them to work for themselves since work is a big stress factor. They may also want some self care and down time. What could you promote for that? At home spa treatment type stuff and meditation guides, etc. Maybe fitness? Home gym equipment since the gym takes time out of their day.

Okay on another note, I was talking to some IM friends about how their year had gone. Some were new, some more seasoned. I noticed some did everything "by the book" - the perfect graphics, nice sales copy, quality products - but their sale didn't perform as expected. Why?

Because they focused on buying banner ads and paid traffic and although they reached out to potential affiliates, they didn't build the relationships. That makes a big difference. Watch what I say about it in today's FB live here:

Now let's look at the health niche. Google released the most searched for health questions. Some aren't viable like what causes hiccups - but some are, in terms of profits. Right now, did you know that because of the opiod addiction, it's the second year in a row that life expectancy has DECLINED? So addiction is probably a good topic - maybe for the families of the addicted in addition to the addicted ones themselves. Some people get addicted because of pain, so pain relief that's natural may be a good niche for profits.

Speaking of pain, back pain is a biggie. My son (a personal trainer) sees people come in all the time with this issue. I had the problem once a long time ago but it went away. It's grueling to suffer from back pain and a lot of people hope to find relief through exercise or natural methods rather than to start popping pills they might get addicted to.

Casey Anders - the best of professional PLR in all formats (truth) - has a new back pain PLR set out - with HD videos, eBook and a TON more on sale here:

I can't even list everything in it here. It's a TON and so good in terms of quality. Her videos are real videos, not hand drawings or screen shots. Amazing. Love how part of her content is about massage chairs. Those are everywhere this Christmas! A great niche site idea - massage products for pain relief. And another partis about standing desks. Yes! Many people want these and also in the news lately is the warnings about the dangers of sitting all the time.

The keto diet is a big health topic (and yes, I dabble in this too). This was made famous(er) by Kim Kardashian, but whatever - people want to know more about it. It's apparently great for diabetics. I'm not diabetic but I ordered some keto diabetic books to learn more about it and work on my upcoming diabetic PLR.

If you're a food blogger for ANY type of health or diet topic, you may want to pick up Trish's Food Blogger Planner here and use the coupon code 12days for 60% off:

This is an editorial planner with calendars and worksheets for topics, web stats and affiliate profits. Nice!

Lupus is another health issue coming to the forefront. I know one of the Real Housewives has battled it and then Selena Gomez, so more people want to know about it.

Croup is a common search, too. My son had it at age 11 - oldest case they ever saw. But he had RSV (a respiratory illness) as an infant, so that may be why. It's a scary thing to cough and wheeze when you're a kid (scary for the parents, too).

People are torn between the pros and cons of coconut oil. Is it good for you or bad? Same with Apple Cider Vinegar. When you see topics like this, ask yourself what PROBLEMS people are considering using coconut oil and vinegar for. Then target those niches with alternatives.

I Just Bought This for Under $5:

Anytime I see a name I recognize as someone whose stuff I've liked in the past, and the price is a no brainer, like under 5 bucks, I grab it to go through in my spare time. You never know if it's going to have even one little gold nugget of info you can apply to your business that will make a huge difference.

So I grabbed Stuart Stirling's Easy Income Machines for 2018 and what I do is I open the PDF and every time I sit down at my desk, I read 1-2 pages. If I find something I didn't know or want to test, I jot it down in my spiral. It's a 29-page PDF for $4.99 here:

I will be going through it to see what it includes. He included some bonuses too in the download, so I'll check those out later. I noticed they had to do with traffic, solo ads, and had some templates too.

I got the personal use rights but he sells a PLR version for under $9. Nice!

Okay I'm off to relax and read and start analyzing my 2017 for a 2018 boost in profits.

Tiff ;)
