Unique Survival Bonus Based on News, Marketing Podcast Update and More!

Published: Thu, 02/22/18

I got my little Golden Gate Ficus bonsai tree last night - it's so adorable. I've always wanted one. I named him George. Ordered him a lamp and food and a pebble humidity tray and all sorts of stuff. It's like having a pet. LOL!

When I heard my friend Arun Chandran was developing a survival PLR launch, I wanted something different as my bonus. Not the same old stuff. So I started researching the news and I found something fascinating and gross and so very smart.

It's a recent story about how our military men and women go into other countries and practice survival war games where they learn how to survive in the environment they're not used to. It's pretty gross, I won't lie. The military members learned some neat stuff like getting water from vines - but they also had to eat scorpions and spiders and drink snake blood from a Cobra in Thailand! Gag! But it helps them stay alive.

Funny story - I remember a story my dad told me about his days in the Air Force. They had to train and jump into the wilderness with nothing and learn how to make it back to camp surviving on nature - plants, bugs, etc. Well my dad was with one of his good buddies (and he's known for pranks). They struggled through three days of brutal travel and were SO hungry. Right when they got about a mile from camp, my dad whips out not one, but TWO Snickers candy bars. He casually asks his friend if he wants one.

The guy started screaming, "You had these this whole time?" My dad laughed. He said, "Of course. I was just waiting to see if you could survive without it." He wasn't supposed to have anything - he snuck it. But he said they gobbled up the bars and made it in record time to camp the last mile because they were on a sugar rush.

Now most people won't have Snickers bars. They have to learn how to survive for real without anything else. So I created a bonus report called War Games for Family Survival  that teaches people how to create their own version of these games for survival in any kind of threat - war, terrorism, weather, etc.

This bonus is a 6+ page, 2,792-word report that I've uploaded to the bonus area for Arun's launch. PLUS if you buy the 1st upgrade for product reviews, you can email me and pick ANY 5 Survival PLR packs from my store (yes, including the mega pack and full content funnel). Just send me your receipt and the list of 5 packs you want. (And by the way, they don't HAVE to be survival if you need another niche).

Let me tell you about his launch. It's on sale here:

The first OTO is perfect with 25 product reviews and there's a second one with infographics, too - if you need those. Oh and his articles have a resell option, too - if you want to choose that instead of regular PLR. Just fyi.

I love this niche - I'm in it as both a marketer AND a consumer. We practice prepping in our home. It's great peace of mind in today's world. The cool thing about survival is it encompasses health, camping, defense, food and more. You can do big broad sites on homesteading or really narrow sites like water storage. So many possibilities it's not even funny - and for those who remember the old IPK (info product killer) days, this is the kind of topic that's perfect for those parent/child site networks.

Marketing Podcast Update

I'm developing a podcast - something I never thought I'd do. Until I because a listener. I have gotten to where I like listening as I work on other tasks. My podcast is going to cover a variety of topics: I'll be creating the podcasts to cover a short idea from each of the 7 sectors of these marketing strategies, but it won't be horribly long. I'll spend about 3-5 minutes on each topic, teaching one narrow concept so you don't get overwhelmed.

Neat Little Tool for Affiliates Who Use Bonuses

If you use bonuses, you might want to check out Brett Rutecky's new Hijax tool. I haven't gotten it yet but it looks cool by watching the demo and it's on sale so I don't want you to have to wait for me to dig in and their launches are SUPER short - it ends on the 24th.

The concept is based not on a bridge page, which is where you send traffic to a page and THEN they go to an offer. Instead, this creates a video overlay right on top of their sales page where you tell the person about your bonus. Then when they exit out of your video, a prominent countdown timer bar appears at the top of the sales page showing them when your bonus will end.

Go watch it. Brett always has such interesting ideas for tools like this. Why can't I come up with tools? I can strategize and slant all day long, but technical stuff eludes me.

Be Open to Improving!

There's one thing I want to remind you about. I see rants a lot on FB - from vendors who fly off the handle if anyone emails them a suggestion. They take it personally like they're getting attacked and sometimes, the rest of us are reading the comment from the person and going, "What's the big deal?"

Marketers have a need to be liked - to get approval from their subscribers. Now there will always be people who have an opinion of how you should do things differently, because humans have preferences. You have to take suggestions and be able to analyze it objectively and ask yourself, "Are they right? Would my business be better if I altered this?"

The answer isn't always yes. Sometimes you know what's best for your business. But you have to be open to the possibility. The exciting thing, to me, about being an entrepreneur is that there's always room for growth and more success - for learning and achieving things in a better way. If you're closed-minded and feel everything you're doing is perfect, then you're suffering from a bad case of stagnancy!

Newbies Who Are Baffled By Cpanel

Most marketers know how to use the cpanel that's built into their hosting. But it's something very intimidating to newbies. This is a great course for you to buy to LEARN from. Now if you TEACH newbies, you'll want it for the PLR rights - it's a video course over the shoulder by Charles Harper on how to use cpanel.
