Drooling Over My New Content Subscription, Confusion! Past Challenges Shutting Down

Published: Sun, 02/25/18

We had a great time at the Modern Art Museum yesterday and then going for a Tex Mex meal. It's nice when my kids are all with me, and we brought my Mom, too. I was too exhausted to work yesterday - and I needed a day off, so I took one. But today I'm at it again. I have home improvement workers coming tomorrow to remove French Doors and build a wall between two rooms and it's going to be hard keeping the husky away from them - an all day battle.

Drooling Over My New Content Subscription

It takes a lot and I mean a LOT to get me to sign up for anything recurring. Except magazine subscriptions - those I gobble up regularly.

I have been looking at content various OTHER people are putting out so I can get fodder (ideas) for my emails, social posts, blog posts and upcoming podcast channel and I hit the jackpot today and actually signed up for a monthly subscription (1st month was just $1 yea!)

And guess what? I even BOUGHT the OTO, too. I almost never do that. It was THAT good. This is PLR content but the content is so top notch magazine style - and I'm not just talking about the layout. I'm talking about the CONTENT itself. Nick James has written this as if he's a top publisher and author and I get to use it not only for ideas, but to learn from myself.

I actually got a review copy of a couple of the months and loved it so much I went and bought it - and also bought the 80 past editions, too. It's THAT good. I love the story at the beginning of each subscription. It makes you think. Then it goes into really cutting edge topics we're all discussing and what to do about them. Nick has ethics intact, so that's important to me when I'm reading or more importantly using content like this.

Check it out for yourself - and by the way, I don't think this was ever meant to be PLR - it was originally a closed private membership if I heard correctly. So I'm glad he opened it up for us to use. It's great whether you're reading it to use for yourself as information (since there aren't a lot of good monthly magazines for online entrepreneurs) or to use as PLR:

I'm going to be devouring this stuff. I know I said the graphics weren't the only thing I meant by professional, but they ARE professional - really magazine like. Not your typical IM newsletter feel to them. He did a great job.

When you log in you get it in fully design PDF or Word editable doc form OR as a raw file you can use the content from however you like. For those scared of it all, they have lessons built in on how to work with and edit the files.

Talk About Confusing!

Does it ever feel like every marketing technique or course you buy disagrees with every other bit of marketing advice you hear? You buy a course on how to generate traffic, and then you buy a second course on the same topic, except it doesn’t agree with the first one.

So you buy another book and another course and another video set and now you’re so confused you don’t know what to do.

Sound familiar?

Here’s what’s happening – you’re going about marketing all wrong.

Instead of buying lots of courses and then trying to fit them all together like pieces from different jigsaw puzzles, get a business strategy first.

Decide what your business is – your niche and what type of income generator you plan to pursue - and how it’s going to work like, free traffic or paid, product creation or affiliate marketing, etc.

Then and only then should you purchase products and services that fit your business. For example, if you know you want to create info products, THEN you start getting courses on sales copy.

You’ll probably buy sales copy courses that tell you to do different things. Guess what? You can try them all out or toss out anything you don’t like. Just don’t get flustered when you see conflicting advice.

By creating your business strategy first and getting the info you need second, you won’t get confused – you’ll simply say, “Well that doesn’t fit in line with what I want to do.”

You won’t buy products you don’t need, like sales copy courses if you ONLY plan to be an affiliate - and you won’t waste your time (and money) learning techniques that don’t help you.

Remember, business plan first, marketing techniques and services second. Pretend you're working for a company. If your boss called you into his office and said, "Why in the world did you buy a course for us on affiliate marketing when we don't even do that?" you'd feel pretty stupid. Know what you're doing first. Then buy stuff to support it.

What if you don't KNOW what you want to be doing? Then dig in and find out what your options are. Pick ONE strategy to start and learn it, implement it and buy items to support it. THEN if you want to abandon it and change course or add another business branch, go for it. But don't put the cart before the horse.
