Milestone, Affiliate Marketing Podcast, Monetization Problem w/Lists

Published: Sat, 03/10/18

I took off yesterday because I rarely do - as in a full day off. I spent 5 hours at a spa getting a massage, facial, pedicure and arm and hand relaxation treatment (each one was an hour and they served a gourmet lunch too). It was amazing. I'm trying to work on drilling it into my brain that taking time OFF to relax and pamper myself will help me be MORE productive on other days instead of just feeling exhausted 24/7.

Logically, I know it's true, but man it's hard to curb old habits of working 6 AM to 11 PM. I was just taking little breaks in between work, but never got that "quitting for the day to relax" chunk of time, and I think it's sorely needed.

#1 - Milestone on 1 Platform

Today in the mail I got this - and I'm going to tell you what it signifies and how I did it:

I sent the screenshot to my kids and they thought I'd won half a million dollars. LOL! No, I worked for it. I worked hard for it. It signifies my earnings on ONE platform as a SELLER only - it doesn't include my affiliate earnings. I work on many platforms and in various business branches, and doesn't include earnings from my own sites, for example like my PLR Mini Mart.

I've been at JVZoo for 6 years. So that $500,000 averages out to about $83.333 a year on JVZoo alone from sales of my OWN products and I've paid out $204,000 so that's $135 a day in revenue I kept for myself on this site for my OWN sales, not including affiliate income or that from other sites.

They said, "Well what do you get?" I got a t-shirt. I got recognition. I get to be a premium user, which means I bypass the approval process as an affiliate if the vendor has that enabled.

But nobody's handing me anything.

I had someone post to me privately, "How do you do it? What's the secret? Teach me."  The secret is to do the polar opposite of what most people do. It's to answer every email that gets sent to you personally. It's to help people with their journey when they need it. It's to do stuff that terrifies you because it has to be done for your business. It's to follow through to the end with a project, even if it takes you some time to do. It's to keep your ethics intact and don't sidle up to every Tom, Dick and Harry out there who says "I reciprocate, bro!"

And it's to work. A lot. This is not a career where you're hands off the wheel 18 hours a day. Once you get to a certain point, go for it. But not initially. What kind of work? LOTS of stuff. You can focus on one business branch, but personally that terrifies me. I do affiliate tangible marketing, affiliate digital marketing, info product creation, and Kindle publishing. Everyone's formula is unique.

Oh and it's planning. Lots of planning and revising those plans and waking up every morning to focus on a new plan for the day, and then carrying it out as best you can. (Catch that last part? Nothing's perfect).

I see so many people start, quit, flounder, complain, give up, return, try something new. Focus. Finish. Give yourself time to get good at something.

I'm very proud of that gift of recognition not in the way some people are. I'm proud because it's a symbol of the hard work I've put in. And no, it's not the $1 million t-shirt or whatever - but it's MY progress and I'm doing the best I can and it's pretty impressive to me.

#2 - The problem of list monetization

Some people start a list or a blog and don't know how to monetize it. Amanda Craven relaunched eCash Generator, which is a simple newbie-friendly course teaching you how to build a list that has monetization built in from the start and it's all based on techniques to get your list responsive to your messages.

Her videos and resources that she put together are great. I enjoy the way she teaches.

It's on sale for under $14 right now on a dimesale for six more days here:

#3 - Affiliate Marketing Podcast

It's my belief that your long-term success is a direct result of what drives your decisions in terms of what you choose to do (or not do).

We're talking about this today in Tiffany's Texas Boot Kick Podcast (and fyi it's also on itunes so you can download episodes if you want to).

This is the formula I use to pick the right products to promote. It not only helps me convert, but it helps my IF there's a contest.

This past week alone, I earned $1,725 in contest money - not including affiliate earnings. That's over $246 a day. I may not know everything, but I know enough to help!

Okay I'm off to answer a backlog of emails, finish my Accessory Site and Digital Affiliate Marketing Challenges and work on tons of other stuff I got behind on.

Tiff ;)
