Firing Your Audience, Veteran Affiliate Marketer Shares Max Commissions
Published: Fri, 03/30/18
By the time you read this, I hope to be the proud new owner of a few top tickets to my daughter's favorite band - Panic at the Disco. This lead singer has an incredible voice. Listen to a song called Death of a Bachelor if you haven't heard them. Amazing.
Marketing-wise, I thought it was really cool how they did ticket sales. Tickets open up to the general public at noon. But at 9 AM, people who bought a tangible merch bundle get first dibs (I got one so I could get early access - there are only 20 of the best tier tickets that include backstage access and exclusive merchandise and I'm shooting for 3 of them). At 10:30 AM, subscribers to their fan club get the opportunity to buy. (Pays to be a loyal fan).
Exclusivity sells. I'm always fascinated by how companies or people conduct their promos. Be on the lookout for this kind of stuff as you go about your day. There's always something you can use in your own online promo efforts.
#1 - Veteran Affiliate Marketer Shares (Max Your Affiliate Commissions)
The second top affiliate on Warrior Plus in 2017 was Barb Ling. I didn't really promote much on there last year (or this year), but Barb promotes there, on JVZoo and a variety of offers on different platforms.
She compiled her tips as one of the top affiliates and created a 60-page PDF course teaching what she uses to earn a good income specifically by maximizing your affiliate commissions.
I read through it. It starts with an overview and then begins to get really meaty on page 23 when she begins delving into the tips in depth. I really enjoyed it. She has some strategies I hadn't thought of, so even as an 18 year veteran of marketing myself, I picked up some great tips!
This is the kind of marketer who has her ethics intact - she loves her family and works hard to provide for them, so she never risks her future (or theirs) by engaging in shady tactics as so many marketers do.

At the time of my reading it, it was under $9 - and it's on a dimesale, so grab it quickly, but it's a great read!
#2 - When and How to Fire Your Audience (Know It Before You HAVE Any)
Before you even get a subscriber or customer, have a plan to fire them - podcast and blog post:

Okay I'm either off to make my daughter really happy or disappoint her with my ticket results. Wish me luck!
Tiff ;)
