Important Buyer Tip, Disappointed, Fun Vote, and Podcast (Blog Comments)

Easter was great here in Texas! My kids did create their Peep dioramas and they had to incorporate one Easter egg in it. I told them y'all would be voting for the winner, so here's where you can see the dioramas and cast your vote:

Important Buyer Tip:

Have you ever bought something and NOT seen your bonus waiting for you? It's happening to everyone and for some reason, systems glitch I guess and affiliates don't get credit. I've heard that it can happen for a variety of reasons, like cookies being blocked, etc. But sometimes it just happens.

Just today someone contacted me wondering where their bonus was for the Kevin Fahey Volume 5 checklist - since I created 20 PLR videos and "slide" images for each item in checklist 2 of volume 5 - and it turns out, even though she clicked on my page and then bought through my link, I wasn't credited as the affiliate. Her receipt shows No Affiliate. And she bought the upsell, too.

So here's a buyer's tip try it out even if you don't plan to complete the purchase:

Click on this link:

http://worklifebalance.s3.amazonaws.com/kevinvol5.html

Then click on the link where it says Click Here to Buy w/Bonus. Scroll down to the buy button and click the Buy Now button.

Now, At the very bottom of that checkout page it says Terms of Service.

The first line there says who it is who is getting credit for the sale. IF it doesn't have the right person's name, then they're not getting credit and you're not getting your bonus.

I don't know if Warrior Plus has the same type of system. I didn't see it when I tested it.

It's Open:

Some people asked me about Amanda Craven's 7 for 1 product retirement sale. It wasn't open when I first emailed out but I think some of you missed the notice that it was opening later. Anyway, it is open now:

She's retiring 7 of her products and bundling them all up for the price of 1. They're good stuff we can all use on topics like: The Podcast/blog today is about blog comments - and the relationship building opportunities they offer (as well as how not to get duped). Disappointed in someone I have always liked as a person. This past weekend, several affiliates promoted a product by Barb Ling. Well one affiliate competitor (Gene Pimentel) emailed out a well-thought out promotion for her sale.

Then a friend of his - Willie Crawford - a long time, well known marketer - pasted a link to his own Aweber email of his promo (his own, not Gene's) on Facebook. And it was a rip off of Gene's email. Not a little bit of a rip off - he copied and pasted it.

Gene commented, "Dude..." and guess what Willie said? He said: "But I changed a few words. Heck, you write well! All is fair in love and war and affiliate marketing. Wait until I offer my bonus!" (I saw this FB exchange because I was friends with both).

Gene posted side by side images of his email versus Willie's - and all he altered was where Gene had said, "Barb and I go way back," Willie added, "at least 15 years."

That's it. Out of an entire page of promo copy, that's how he changed it. Oh wait - he also signed his own name. We were all left shaking our heads in bewilderment.

I'm so grossed out that a friend could do this to another friend. You expect random people to do it, but when you're buddies with someone AND they call you out on it and you laugh it off? Vomit.

If I were Barb, I'd ban him, too. She did make a post stating that when affiliates do this, she has to protect her loyal affiliates so she first removes auto approval and second bans them.

Anyway - when I see behavior like this, I voice my disdain with my purchasing power. I don't buy from people who lack ethics in business and I don't promote them. What do you do? Does it bother you or do you shrug it off just to get a bonus? Curious how others handle it.

ContentAire Bonus

By the way, I had my dates ALL mixed up. We're starting today on the bonus - I kept thinking April 1st was today. LOL!

Tiff ;)
