Shake Things Up with Some Off the Beaten Path Slants
Published: Tue, 05/08/18
I'm definitely operating at 2 steps forward, 1 step back. I went to the doctor yesterday and then grocery shopping and I was down for the count for about 3 hours. LOL! No energy whatsoever. But I'm listening to my body and recovering at whatever speed it wants to go.
So let's talk slants.
You see many of the same topics being sold, with almost (if not THE) exact same slants.
So whenever you have a blog where you're using readymade content, look for ideas that differentiate you from the rest.
I noticed this when I saw Rachel Youngson's new paleo PLR pack.
Whenever you see Paleo topics, you typically see things like:
- Paleo diet
- Paleo cooking
Umm...that's it!
Nobody ever veers off the beaten path and shakes things up with something a bit different. You get the same broad and basic information over and over again. You need something a bit more narrow so that your site becomes a well rounded resource for ALL things related to that topic.
Rachel's pack is called Paleo Picnic, and it's timed perfect because it's Springtime and summer's coming up - and picnics are something many people want to do. And it can help build your list and also give you the opportunity to add on some tangible sales (think food storage containers and picnic baskets, for example).
I went and took a peek at some of the blogs ranking for paleo picnic posts and many of them have engagement from their audience. Some wanted the recipes not for a picnic per se but for a roadtrip - another great idea - travel paleo.
Hint: One good thing to pair with this content is a Groupon affiliate link. Here in North Texas we have all sorts of outdoor events for families or couples or friends and it's perfect for a picnic, so you can have them search for an event and make recommendations for how to prepare their perfect paleo picnic. You can find the Groupon affiliate program by typing it into Google and signing up.
Rachel's Paleo Picnic pack is under $10 for now but going up to $20ish after tomorrow. It includes:
- Report
- Articles Pulled from Report
- Report Opt in Page
- Social Images
- Checklist - What to Eat at Your Paleo Picnic
Also, if you don't see PLR out there for an unusual slant, look for those combination slants I've spoken about before. Combine two niches to make a unique slant. Believe it or not there's content about paleo dieting and sleep. Two broad niches combined for a narrow, different topic.
Okay that's it for me today - back to work! Hope y'all have a great Tuesday.
Tiff ;)
