Made You a 40 Minute Profit Tutorial, Plus Target Slants for Tool

School's out...for summer! If you sang that in your head, you're awesome and you may have a bit of rocker in your blood. So I'm officially on summer schedule, which means plenty of rest and vitamin D and productivity.

Speedy Shortcut and Target Slants for a Tool

"I just don't have time to..."

Blah blah blah I hear it all the time. Guess what? You DO have time to blog, to make a bonus, to make an info product, to review products, to network - if you use the right tools. I have shared with y'all before that I work on the go. Almost EVERY successful marketer I know does this. In airports, in the carpool line while parked, while waiting for an appointment, while exercising and more.

Just because I'm not sitting in front of my computer typing doesn't mean I'm not working and being productive.

I use audio dictation to help me on the go. I have long carpool waits, so I'm especially productive at that time, or if I arrive 30 minutes early for one of my kids' activities. I'll whip up an email, or blog post or work on a chapter of an info product while waiting. You can use various tools for this by just speaking into them and email it in text form to yourself. I've used a variety of Notes on iPhone and Dragon Dictation.

If you're not familiar with it, check out Charles Harper's Speed Up Content with Dragon tutorials especially for people like us with IM careers as well as fiction authors (they come with PLR rights too) here:

I think it'd be great to target fiction authors - indie authors - with this course - or a specific kind of marketer, like busy moms and dads or seniors. Or target it for a specific task when you use the PLR to turn around and sell the course, like, "Build a Business Talking About Weight Loss" or whatever niche - emphasize the talking aspects because writing intimidates so many people. Made You a 40 Minute Profit Tutorial

Today I was doing some one on one hand-holding via email with some of my subscribers who felt stuck or maybe misdirected.

The other day I made a video for you about how this career is like solving a puzzle. Someone (thanks, Neill!) had a good point - a puzzle has a box with a picture, right? That makes it easier because if the picture shows a green mountainside on the left side, then you know that's where those green pieces go, right?

There's no such animal with an online marketing career. Why? Because every picture is different - mine includes blogging and affiliate marketing and info product development and kindle fiction and all kinds of stuff in niches like survival and toys and houseware and so on. Yours might include different niches, paid advertisements, webinars, coaching and so on.

So a newbie has difficulty because they want that picture! What I suggest is that you learn one area at a time and add onto the big picture. so for example, let's say you know you want to learn blogging. You research what all that entails (like setting up WordPress, adding plugins, adding an opt in form, and so on) and make a list of "puzzle pieces" you have to have before it all comes together for a complete picture. Then, you say, "Okay, I want to learn how to create my own product now."

So you do the same with that. And you connect the two - how can I promote my info product ON my blog? It's a step by step process, and you're not going to get a blueprint or exact steps for an entire business - ever - but if you can learn how to embrace this as exciting rather than intimidating, you're going to thrive!

Today's lesson continues on with what subscribers are asking me about - a profit plan:

Okay I'm off to wrap up some work and celebrate the end of 7th grade. Next year is my baby's last year of middle school. Stop it, Time!
