Brainstorm Part 6; Is the OTO Worth It? Market Infiltration for Content & More!

Published: Fri, 11/30/18

SO glad it's Friday! I have to admit, switching from talk radio to audiobooks in my drive (2 hours total, daily) is wonderful! I bought a fiction audio book with 14+ hours of story called Before We Were Yours - to listen to and it's incredible. I don't come home feeling irritated like I did before. It's SO hard to tune out when you're addicted to staying on top of the news, but SO freeing once you let go of the desire to be engaged non stop. Helps with my creativity, too. Last night before bed I turned on the news and within seconds of hearing people arguing, I was like, "Nope!" Click. Off to bed with a book. Tired of it all. LOL

Okay, let's dig in - I have a free series installment ready and a few other things today:

Is the OTO Worth It? Let's Analyze (Last Notice)

Many of you have gotten the Evergreen Traffic Academy (teaching free traffic strategies using a case study, over the shoulder method) and you've asked me about the OTOs. So I decided to check it out.. There are more than 1, so let's go over them. Before we get started, let me add this: Sometimes, I get annoyed with OTOs when you can tell the seller just threw everything including the kitchen sink in there and quality is bad on top of that.

But OTOs serve a great purpose if the vendor is a quality seller...

They allow customers to be able to buy the front end CHEAP and test quality of a seller. It's a benefit to you. The alternative would be for them to package all of the stuff up into some massive $1997 traffic course that 99% of you could NEVER afford. (And that's how it used to be back in the early days in IM). I remember seeing the little guys sit there wishing they could invest in something like Traffic Secrets while only the top people secured a copy. So instead of freaking out that I have to click "no thanks" on something for 2 seconds, I'm always grateful that the package has been divvied up so I can pick and choose which components of it I'm willing to buy.

If you haven't yet picked up the main course, since it's just over $13, I recommend grabbing it at the link below - SUCH good value for the price (59 lessons):

Those of you who have gotten it, let's discuss the OTO options.

OTO #1 - This is a trio of sections with part 1 being advanced traffic strategies, part 2 covering Facebook retargeting and my favorite - part 3: a set of additional case studies. I LOVE those. And there are SEVEN of them - woot! In a few of them, Stefan jumps in for some teaching too, not just Greg, so you get multiple perspectives. Well worth it. I personally don't do regtargeting or the advanced traffic SEO stuff but I love case studies and I think it's around $27ish?

OTO #2 - This upgrade option is a set of 10 niches (profitable stuff like survival, abs, dating, etc,) where they've done the work for you. You get 15 opt in gifts, 15 converting headlines, 27 ideas for products to promote, royalty-free images and music and a Pinterest Template to use (note: this is PhotoShop file). This one is just okay to me. But if I had to choose, I'd get OTOs 1 and 3 - and 4 if I wanted to splurge big time. This one is also around $27ish.

OTO #3 - Normally, at this point, I skeptically price myself out of even considering an upgrade, but since the value is proven in the front end and initial upsells, I become more open to considering it. In this case, what they're doing it - instead of you using their Evergreen Traffic Academy to drive traffic to affiliate offers, they're letting you secure their own funnels to send traffic to where you can keep 100% of the profits. So for example, you get the option to grab 2, 4 or 8 of their funnels to drive traffic to as your own income stream (including the Evergreen Traffic Academy, so that's cool)!

The third upgrade isn't some insane $1197 option, either. They're $67, 97 and $127, respectively. Now I haven't taken ALL of their courses, but I've taken I think 3 now and each time I've been impressed and enjoyed it. So this is definitely something I would consider and it means you don't have to take time to create your own stuff to start earning.

They do have a 4th option, but it's one most probably won't get due to budget - but let's go over it anyway because some people do have it to invest. It's a $1,497 completely hands off, done for you system where Greg and Stefan go ahead and create a custom blog for you with a premium theme, logo, plugins and sharing tools (you pick the niche). Then they include 10 original, unique blog posts of 500+ words. They set up a Pinterest account for you and get you 50-100 followers to start with so you can get accepted into group boards. They set up 10 boards and 10 pins per board. And they create a set of Pinterest graphics for you to coincide with those initial 10 posts. You also get their Pinterest Traffic Software, In-Depth blog training and case studies, and 2 years of group coaching to help you grow the business.

I think it'd be great for those who can afford it. Gives you a nice jumpstart and additional training is cool. I always calculate the time it'd take me to learn and then implement the stuff and if it frees up my time for something else, I like it. see these upgrade offers are relevant and nicely and logically build on the original product, with each level either increasing your training and knowledge OR allowing you to outsource the work to someone else.
