#2 - 10 To Do Tasks as 2018 Wraps Up

Some people get a bit lazy around the holidays with their business, but the successful ones I know use this time to wrap up loose ends and plan hardcore for a burst out of the gate into the New Year. 

Here are some things you may want to work on during these last 2+ weeks:
  1. List out all of your business branches and see what needs culling - anything you aren't interested in or have FULLY tried to profit from that's failing.
  2. Go through your files and clean it all up! Get it organized. Delete stuff you KNOW you're never going to get to. And put the stuff you NEED to get to on your desktop staring you in the face.
  3. Go through your domains. What needs to be cut this year? If you haven't built it out yet and you've owned it for 6 years, sell it or delete it. It's time to get serious!
  4. Go through your tools that you're still paying for and ask yourself if you use it - if not? Stop payments. 
  5. Look at the lists you're on. Clean up the inbox - stick with people who share tips and are helpful OR who even consistently recommend good products, even if that's all they do. 
  6. Pick 1 niche you plan to attack with all you have in 2019. I mean fiercely - you're going to go honeybadger on it.
  7. Look at your domain for that niche if you have one and see what needs freshening up - the theme? The content? The plugins? Delete stuff, change it, get it ready to usher in 2019. 
  8. Make a mind map of ALL the ways you plan to profit from this niche - affiliate promotions, info products, coaching, memberships, ad revenue, etc. 
  9. Make a mind map of all of the topics you plan to focus on within this niche. Drill it down and get the foundation ready for keyword research. 
  10. Make a list of your competitors in this niche who would make great JV partners to cross promote each other's stuff. 
This will get you prepped and ready to roll when 2019 starts up. Then you simply make a plan for how you want to tackle the niche - with your product development, social networking strategy, media formats, promotions, etc. 

Have a plan to work with. I'm going to be using my Scrivener tool not just for fiction, but for my Non fiction business planning now as one of my subscribers said she's doing. What a fantastic idea!
