Published: Sat, 01/12/19
This weekend I'll be making a decision on what our next challenge will be. I also have a lot of running around to do - since my daughter has a social life. Ha ha! :) I spent much of yesterday engrossed in market research for the fiction branch of my business and oh my it looks so fun! Short stories are another area I'm going after - I can't believe the money being made and was so thrilled to see one of my friends listed as one of the second top authors in one genre in particular.
So let's talk about a few things:

2. Yay! Erica Stone Is Teaching an Affiliate Strategy!
Erica Stone is one of the most well-respected teachers in the ethical IM space. Her lessons are always thorough and step-by-step, so she's good for newbies and people who have some experience under their belt, too.
I'll be buying this myself but it's her new course called Cluster Madness Blueprint and it's all about a specific strategy for affiliates of places like Amazon, Walmart, Etsy, Zazzle, Home Depot, etc.
She is totally against black hat marketing tactics, which is one reason why I LOVE learning from her. (Back in the Squidoo days she was a powerhouse!).
One thing I LOVE is that she's giving us 60 niche ideas within the course, in addition to the PDF that teaches everything step-by-step.
AND, another reason I want to grab it is that is' FOCUSED. So many people trying to get into this business get SO scattered and hers is focused on ONE kind of product per site. Read her sales page thoroughly - I love what she says about what this program is NOT.

3. I Likey - You Will Too!
JVZoo just released some guidelines for approval on their network and I want you to know for TWO reasons - as a consumer, because you'll be seeing new slants - and as a potential vendor, because the old copy style is out the door. Now y'all are (as I am) used to seeing certain wording on websites. I personally always have told y'all, "ignore the hype" when I see an especially spammy one. But really, even the good products just go with the flow of the same lingo - we've all heard them.So JVZoo is now saying NO MORE to this wording:
- Business in a box (or biz in a box)
- Profits on autopilot (or push button)
- Passive royalties (or passive income)
- Make money in your sleep
And on bonus items - you know where they say, "If you bought this bonus it would cost you $5,697?" Well, no more. Has to reflect a reasonable price at which they've previously been sold. I always give an exact amount if I put a bonus together. Like if the PLR bundle literally sells for $600 total on my site, I'll put that - but it's actually what the price is on my store for those large bundles. Some people just pull a random number from thin air and try to impress you.
And scarcity timers? Oh boy. Better see that price rise when you say it's gonna rise! Threats of scarcity (like - only 3 left!) - gone! Poof!
I'm feeling like I just got out of a nice, hot shower, how about you? Clean!
Told ya you'd like it (as a consumer at least). I know some vendors are gnashing their teeth about this change. I have seen some heated exchanges about the new rules. I like them as both a consumer and a vendor. I think it's positive for our entire industry!
What are your thoughts? I'd love to know!
