We're heading out in a bit to buy baby girl all new "grown up" furniture. She wasn't happy with the younger stuff anymore, so this will be the teen-aged room I dread. Bittersweet seeing the last of my babies grow up, but they've all made me so proud. I can't believe some things like I have never had to even ASK if they did their homework (literally - they just always do it on their own).

I had to be tied to barbed wire and forced to do mine. The school they went/go to teaches college preparatory with a strong emphasis on self sufficiency even from kindergarten (K-12) so even major projects - they just do them. It's been no stress at all and have excellent grades. Wish I'd been like that but I am now - just took me until my 30s to get that same drive.

Oh! Someone recommended a book to me, so I grabbed it. It's all about consistency for those of us who keep trying to do something and quitting. I'll let you know how it is after I read it this week.
