Info Product Series - Does This Look Okay? Niche Timing & Lesson, Days 1-5

Published: Sat, 03/16/19

I took a few days off from most work to enjoy my kids' spring break with them and to also focus on my son Dylan's personal training regimen he created for me. Now I'm getting organized to start back on Monday and I'm loving the weather I see in our forecast - after so much rain, it looks like sunny and mid 60s-70s for the next two weeks!

Days 1-5

I told y'all Sharyn Sheldon is having her 12-day anniversary sale and right now all of days 1-5 are on sale with hefty discounts.

They include: One thing to note - when you land on one of the sales (they vary from low to higher ticket bundles), make sure that even on the higher ticket ones, you look at the buy buttons because Sharyn does cool price options where you can get fewer items at a lower cost if you don't want the big bundle. Info Product Series - Does This Look Okay?

I'm going to be doing a free series sharing some ideas and tips with y'all based on the survey you took about business branches you're most involved in. Overwhelmingly, everyone picked Info Product development as one of their branches, so we'll start there and move on to others later.

What I want to know is, does this look like the kind of stuff you want to know? Are there specific things you're confused about or feel like you're not doing properly that you need help with?

People always complain that nobody shares free info, so I'm going to - all you have to do is pipe up and tell me your exact needs.

Here's what I have in the series so far:

Creating Your Own Info Product

1. Idea for the Product
2. Outline
3. Format(s) Needed
4. Funnel Options
5. Free Bonus Options
6. Pricing
7. Where to Sell It

Niche Timing & Lesson

Whenever you're focusing on certain niches, think of when the best time to promote them is. For example, today I scheduled the lawn guys to come out for my first spring mowing. So the lawn and garden niche popped in my head. Perfect timing because the sun's coming out, people want to be outside and seeing green and flowers and all that.

I put my Gardening Mega Pack on sale from $57 to just $17 for a couple of days here for you and I have a lesson below:

Lesson:

So when you have this kind of content, how can you profit from it? First and foremost, there are ALL kinds of products on tangible sites to promote - Amazon, Share-a-Sale, CJ and more.

I buy a lot of stuff for gardening and this content could help you promote containers, soil, plants, seeds, tools for gardening, hoses and more. When you see the content and you're thinking about what to promote, aside from info products that teach a strategy, picture the scene of it being implemented.

If I'm going to use the raised bed gardening content, for example, I'll go on Google images and see what I can see to help me brainstorm a list of items to promote.

I see things like this:

I instantly add chicken wire to the list (which I wouldn't have thought of). It can be bought on Amazon for anywhere from $15 to over $100 depending on how much they need.

Or I'll see things like this:

And I instantly add mulch to my list, to make the raised bed surroundings more attractive. It can be bought on Amazon, too.

I see this picture and I think about outdoor path options - stepping stones, or a cedar pathway I found on Amazon:

I add the word "woman" (or man) to the search phrase on Google and I see pictures that show me more products to add to my list - sun hats, gardening gloves, kneeling pads, and more.

Images and videos alike can help with brainstorming stuff you may not have initially thought of when you first had the idea to promote something.

Then go and say, "Okay it's gardening time. Does gardening tie into anything else niche wise? Maybe one of my other sites?

I see searches for: So then I start reading the content and tying it into those niches. (I even have a Gardening for Stress Relief series on my site. You could tie that directly into the depression niche, senior mental health and satisfaction, and even financial stress relief. You could talk about how it helps kids having something to focus on outside of technology and social media, how having a survival garden eliminates some of the stress in a situation where food supplies run low, and so on.

So really sit and brainstorm things according to the timeliness of the niche at every season.

Tiff ;)
