What If You're Not an Expert in a Niche?

Hi !
I flip Squidoo lenses on a daily basis and when I create them, I
choose top selling ClickBank products to add to them for
monetization purposes. One of the best selling lens topics is about
Forex Trading, and the CB products are high dollar commissions -
the top six products ranked by $ earned per sale give you a
commission of anywhere from $92 to $120, so you can see why those
lens topics are hot sellers!
But whenever I flip them, I get several emails from newcomers to my
lens alert list asking me if they have to know anything about Forex
to own the lens or be in that niche. Ideally, of course, you'd be
able to lead the niche with your own ideas, but it's NOT a
requirement!
I have many lenses and product promotions online where I am nowhere
near knowledgeable in the field. My page serves as a landing spot
only - giving a quick overview - and I let the links to affiliate
products do the heavy lifting of teaching my customers for me.
You don't have to answer questions from consumers. You can choose
to accept them if you want to and when an email comes in, you can
find an answer to their question, but as an affiliate, the
communication with the customer doesn't have to weigh you down IF
you don't feel comfortable with it.
Forex Trading is a high dollar niche but it's also very confusing.
Look at what I did with the lenses I'm selling today below - you
can see I give the basics but really the purpose is to funnel the
visitor to the product page:

Some topics are much easier to talk about even if you don't utilize
it yourself. For example, another lens I'm selling to the
subscribers on that list today is about the Law of Attraction. Not
everyone's a believer, but it's a hot topic - especially since
Oprah had a show on The Secret and vowed it was the concept behind
her empire of success. Here's a lens I did on that topic:

I'm not an expert in the LOA, but I am a believer. So if I owned
all three of these lenses, I might feel comfortable communicating
with visitors to the LOA lens but I might just let the product
owners handle any questions about Forex Trading if it was an
in-depth question that I didn't feel confident answering.
You don't have to be an expert in a niche to sell in it. It helps,
of course - but if you want to tap into some of those top dollar
ClickBank commissions, go for it without worrying that you have to
carry the burden of educating your customers directly!
