4 Things Tiffany Dow Wants You to Know

Published: Wed, 06/24/09

Hi !

I hope you're having a great week - it's over 100 here in Texas
every day so I am melting! I wanted to send out an email about a
few things today: Squidoo ramblings (with a free gift for you),
ghostwriting openings, something new in my PLR world, and my future
marketing plans. Warning: it's a long email. Grab some popcorn.

1.) The PLR Mini Mart is now taking requests for eBooks that you
wish were your product. You know how popular Burn the Fat Feed the
Muscle is? Don't you wish those profits were going into YOUR bank
account? Well I'm developing 100% original generic versions of
popular eBooks on the market.

First, let me emphasize the 100% original. I took all my legal
courses in college for Journalism - I know what constitutes a
copyright infringement, so I'm steering clear. What I'll be doing
is writing an eBook strong enough to compete with the products and
letting you buy the PLR rights to them for $1 per page. And I'll
have add-ons like autoresponders, article packs, blog posts and
maybe sales copy as well so you have a readymade product to launch.

Your job? Let me know which eBooks you really wish were yours.
First on the list from my PLR customer requests is Magic of Making
Up. Then Conversational Hypnosis and Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle.
I've gotten dozens of requests but I still need to hear yours
because it helps me see what's in highest demand and plan my
schedule for launching those.

FYI I already have some eBooks I wrote located here:
http://www.plrminimart.com/plrreports.html but they're PLR copies
of my persona eBooks like Mastering FriendFeed, Twitter Traffic,
Flip That Lens, etc.

2.) Ghostwriting spots are now open! I'm taking 3 new eBook spots
for the weeks coming up - those are packs anywhere from 40 to 50
pages. I also have room for smaller projects at all times. The good
news is, I have my eye on the economy and I'm not going back to my
usual $30 per page rate until I know the US is recovering
substantially. I'm keeping them $10 lower at $20 per page.

You can order whatever you need - articles, eBooks, viral reports,
web content, blog posts, autoresponders, but not sales copy - at
http://www.tiffanydow.com/ghostwriting.html and just enter the
quantity that you want.

3.) Squidoo - I sure had a meltdown in my last email, didn't I? I
have decided to now use Squidoo for a different way. As for
marketing, I won't promote ClickBank products there anymore that
are not mine.

It's not that they don't allow them, but they've stated they won't
whitelist ClickBank either, which means they're keeping an eye on
it and I don't want to go to the hard work of building lenses for
CB products if they'll be shut down later.

I had a ton of "get your ex back" lenses and I took the content
from each one (each had three 250 word articles on it) and I
populated a blog with it through the end of July! The great news
is, my blog is starting to get Google traffic for keywords.

As far as marketing goes on Squidoo, I will continue to use it for
my branding purposes on the site, to promote my PLR site and my own
products. I feel that's safe because it's something I can showcase
my expertise at.

But I won't go pick a random product like fungus cures and stick it
on a lens anymore out of sheer concern that it'll get the ax one
day (and right now, FYI, those of us who have Giant Squid status
get a greenlight on these topics Squidoo doesn't allow anymore, so
if you have 50 or more good lenses and get Giant Squid status, you
don't have to worry about the usual topic limitations like everyone
else because they trust you.

Another way in which I'll continue using Squidoo is to promote
Amazon products - tangibles that they have no problem with and that
have proven very profitable for me on Squidoo. If you haven't read
my 10 Hot Amazon Squidoo Lens Ideas report, go grab it now and
start building some of these:
http://www.tiffanydow.com/gifts/10HotSquidooLensIdeas.zip

Tangibles sell REALLY well on Squidoo. Take me, as a consumer - I
buy everything I can through Amazon. This week in fact, I bought my
husband a new DVD player for a couple hundred dollars, I bought 9
books for over $70, and I bought some gag gifts for a friend that
were over $40. And I'm just one person. I know a lot of other
people who do this to because you get free shipping and Amazon is
like a big warehouse - they have a little bit of everything, don't
they? Hint: Books are the #1 seller on Squidoo lenses using Amazon.

4.) My future marketing plans have changed a bit. I realized when
the new Squidoo rules took effect that although as a giant squid,
they didn't have a huge impact on ME, they would have an impact on
non giants who could no longer write about certain topics. I hate
the fact that web 2.0 sites change on a whim and we're at their
mercy.

But I know why I used them so heavily in the past - it was ALL I
knew or could handle. It was easy to click "add a module" and paste
some text in. I didn't know how to build a blog on my OWN domain,
but once I learned I felt so empowered - I was in control. No one
could come along and tell me what I could or couldn't write about
or how many links I could have where. It was all MINE.

So this is what I'm going to focus on in my future lessons -
maintaining more control over your business and that includes
everything from knowing how to create and manage your own sites to
using your OWN info products to make money - because as an
affiliate, you're at the mercy of the product owner - if he decides
to lower his commission, he can! If he doesn't update his product
and leaves customers floundering for customer service, you'll get
refunds and you can't do anything about it.

So I'm expanding my Building an eBook Empire lesson plan to cover
these elements in more detail. If you don't have that guide yet,
it's located at http://www.guide2ebooks.com - it's a product where
I've had maybe 1 refund that I can remember - and the funny thing
is, the customer refunded because she accidentally bought it twice.
LOL.

Okay I'm dribbling into the 3rd page of my Word doc now so I'd
better wrap this up. Bottom line: Send me your PLR "knock off"
requests. Sign up for some ghostwriting if you need it. Grab your
free gift about Squidoo. And let me know if I can develop a
specific report that will help you based on my new marketing
direction.

Have a good rest of the week!

Your too talkative friend,
Tiff ;)
