My Mom Goes Live and I Get Uncomfortable!
Published: Thu, 01/21/10
Couple of things today:
1.) Back in August when I took those 30 days off from work, I told
you I'd be working with my Mom to get her a business set up online.
Many of you wanted to know how her progress has been going.
It's been slow - but only because she's very involved in her
community and her computer's slow, too. But today she got her very
first online entity up and I'm so proud - like a mother! LOL
Here's her site: http://www.castironmeals.com/
If you can, Tweet it for her or something - she needs some TLC
after the slow computer got her all flustered. But now she's a bona
fide blogger! For this blog, I bought her a couple of images from
istockphoto to put at the top, and had a friend help make the blog
theme.
She chose cast iron cooking as her niche because she's a Southern
lady with a lot of family history that includes cast iron cooking.
And she has the opportunity to sell items from Amazon, write her
own eBook, etc. I'm proud of her - she knew nothing about this type
of stuff and now she's moving forward!
2.) Once again, I'm moving outside of my comfort zone. Last year it
was video blogging, then a chat on Ustream. This year it's learning
more about webinars, joining giveaway events, and now something new
for me but not new in general - guest blogging!
There was a reason I have always turned down guest blogging
opportunities. And there's a reason I'm now a Yes girl!
Read about it here:

Then feel free to invite me to write a guest blog post on your blog
as long as it's marketing-related or for work at home people.
That's it for me today - these allergies in Texas are killing me,
so I think I'm going to take full advantage of the work at home
perks and call it quits and just veg out in front of the TV with my
electric blanket and my bottle of Mentholatum.
Have a great day!
Tiff ;)
