Wow – All My Hard Work GONE
Published: Wed, 03/24/10
I'm a wee bit cranky this morning. Woke up to get a lovely email
from Google telling me that my Blogger Blog (the Bearded Dragon one
I did for One Week Marketing) was spam, and was deleted - POOF!
I worked hard on that blog (or at least my ghostwriter did). I
posted 100% unique content daily and in between my posts, I posted
an Ezine Article fully credited back to the author.
I went to look at Google's TOS and discover you're NOT allowed to
create a Blogger blog with the intent of driving traffic back to
your site.
Well now, that would have been nice to know when I started my
campaign. I should have read the TOS, but really, who does most of
the time? Maybe I read it wrong in OWM - were we not supposed to
build a blog fully? Were we supposed to make a couple of posts and
then scrap it?
Here's my advice:
Use sites other people own as testing ground ONLY. Whether it's
Squidoo, Blogger, WordPress, Hub Pages - I don't care.
Fork over the $10 or less (I like dot info domains for $0.87) and
own that domain, people! It's well worth the peace of mind knowing
you're not going to wake up one morning like I just did and have to
start over from scratch.
Even if a guide teaches you to use another site to build your blog
or whatever, consider it a test page only or a backlink page and
build your VRE (virtual real estate) on your own.
If you want to sound off about this topic, I blogged about it here:

I'll go cry in my coffee now (not really - I'm too mad).
