Duplicate Content Penalties, Niche Monetization Part 5 w/Free PLR and More

Published: Mon, 03/12/12

Hi !

First day of Spring Break was so awesome! It was in the 80s here
today so my kids got to play outside with Honey (who later got a
bath) and I got to cook and clean and work. For some odd reason, I
was in the MOOD to clean - it's as rare as a sighting of the Loch
Ness or Big Foot.

So today there are 4 issues to discuss - duplicate penalties, niche
monetization, feedback and competition for HomeAndGardenPLR.com and
what to do if you get spanked in a forum.

#1 Duplicate Content Penalties - Is It an Issue?

I get asked about this quite a bit. So I'm using Google's own
insight into this to help you understand the non-existent threat.

#2 Free Niche Monetization Lessons for Home and Garden Niche Part 5

Well as I was writing this, it turned into a lesson different from
what I originally set out for it to be. This is about your broad
category pages, like "kitchen" or "small appliances" for example.
Today's free PLR article is on Water Filters, so take and enjoy!

#3 HomeAndGardenPLR.com - Feedback and Competition

We have 115 spots left! Just last night I sent out an extra free 5
articles to our list, exclusively for them. I have gotten great
feedback about how Mom and I are doing a good job spoiling our
members. And we'll continue doing that.

I do want to address two emails I got this week, though. Two great
ladies I respect emailed me about possibly doing competitor sites -
one to my Home and Garden and the other to the IM PLR membership
I'm working on.

My feedback to both ladies is: GO for it! I think competition is
GREAT! It doesn't step on my toes at all. In fact, as a PLR buyer,
I go to many places. And I can tell you that I'm certainly not out
there checking to see if I have competition before I create my own
membership.

The way I see it is this - many people buy from many places. But
let's say they don't. If we compete for their ONLY membership, then
may the better man (or woman) win! If I start losing lots of
customers who say, "Hey so and so is delivering ten times what you
do - and it's better!" then I either smarten up and provide more
value, or I get out of the way.

So it sure doesn't offend me. I still adore these two ladies.

#4 Just a quick FYI. I know WF has a lot of haters (especially
those who've been banned) and I know I promote the site as a great
place to learn. But you always have to remember it's THEIR house,
THEIR rules, period.

Today one of the mods got onto me for using the term "STFU" to
someone who trolls me and insinuated I was about to put my list in
harm's way (I wasn't) - she follows me in every thread,
contributing nothing of value - just making jabs and fellow
Warriors always PM me laughing about her and why she has some
vendetta against me. Who knows?

Point is, when the mod said it wasn't necessary, I agreed (it
wasn't - it was just fun) and said I wouldn't do that anymore ...
THERE. And I won't. I'll play by their rules. Some get all riled up
about stuff like this, but to me, it's like going to someone's
house and lighting up a cigarette if they don't want you smoking in
their home.

It's no big deal to me to abide by their rules. I promised the mod
I'd at least stay PG-13 from here on out (there at least) and take
up any gripe w/that troll that I have on my blog. And I will.

IF you ever get scolded by a mod or whatever in ANY forum, just
remember that you're a guest there. If they tell you not to do
something, either accept it - or leave. No big deal and not worth
freaking out about. And mods have an awful job dealing with all the
complainers and whiners and violators. I don't care which forum it
is or who the specific mod is. I don't envy them - and it's why I
don't have a forum of my own.

Have a great week!

Tiff ;)
