Kindle Progress - Why Didn't Y'all Drag Me Sooner? Plus Project Profits

Published: Sun, 06/24/12

Hi !

It's Sunday so I'm all cozy and happy in my element.
Although it's sweltering here and my A/C can't compete with
the temps to the degree I'd like. I'm ghostwriting some
neat projects - but I wanted to get this out there so you can
follow my progress and follow as we start from scratch, too:

It's a two part blog - my existing journey as I get help from
Paula Seymour who is ROCKING the Kindle world. And our progress as
a group of wonderful people developing a Kindle course together!

I'm so disappointed with myself. You guys have told me for
months to get on Kindle and I sat here not doing it. From now on,
you have to get Honey Badger with me when I get lazy, people!

Oh speaking of not doing things - someone asked about the Project
Profits implementation/review. I'm struggling with that. I was
told that the affiliate program would be going live on the 17th, so
I started doing my review on the sales copy.

I emailed them (Mike and Kelly) on the 17th to find out why the
affiliate program wasn't up. They said they were still
tinkering with the sales copy but they would put a special landing
page and special toned down sales page for me, even offering to let
me include a video intro on it.

But that's not what I want. I want the same experience everyone
else gets - that's the whole point of a true implementation
review. And while I use an affiliate link throughout my reviews,
it's not an endorsement until I SAY it's an endorsement.

So I'm not sure if they understood my point of view on that.
It's nice of them to offer a perk like that to me, but I'm
still waiting for the final product/sales page to be put up. There
are a TON of videos to go through - never my favorite thing.

I had already done a part 1 review of the sales page so now I have
to wait and see if that's even viable based on whatever changes
they make. And what if something changes with the course before
affiliates are let in? It may be all out of whack by the time I get
my review there.

When everything's straightened out I'll revisit it. Just
updating you!

In the meantime, KINDLE and Ghostwriting!

By the way, you DO know you don't need a Kindle to download
Kindle readers, right? All you do is download the Kindle Cloud
reader to your PC and you can read it like a PDF right there. I
didn't know this until about a week or two ago. Or, you can
download an app for a cell phone. All free. Here's where you go
to do that:

Alright back to ghostwriting. Just be aware that I'm going to
drag you guys into Kindle publishing like Paula dragged me -
I'm very grateful. I'm having fun!

Tiff ;)
