Build Your Unique Personal Brand, Is Expertise Needed?

Published: Fri, 10/16/20

Hope you're having a nice Friday so far. We don't have exciting plans for this weekend except Scarlett wants to try to make pasta from scratch so we're going to learn how to do that. I love cooking with her. I'm so glad that she's excelling in this pandemic. She has straight As and talks about how less stressed she is than when she was in the college prep school with a grueling schedule. She's really thriving and so am I in terms of happiness (give or take a few news cycles LOL).

We were going to go with a mother-daughter youth group today to prepare meals for the homeless, but we're going to reschedule for the 30th instead. Helpful to get out and do something for others right now.

So here's what I have for you today...

Do You Need Expertise to Create Your First Info Product?

One of my favorite ways to learn is to watch someone else learning from the very beginning. Whether it's gardening, exercise, marketing - you name it. I don't mind seeing their mistakes, obstacles overcome, and eventual success.

It's more about being able to share good information than it is to have a list of formal credentials. You don't have to be a six figure marketer but if you are really good at something I need to know, that is something I want to learn from you.

Most people plan on putting their spin on things anyway, so they're using your insight as a starting point. Don't be afraid to teach when you're still in the beginner stage. But don't create a product like "How to Earn $1,000 a Day" if you're unable to do it yourself first. You might do something like "Starting a Business Online" if that's what you've done, but leave the outlandish claims on the side until you actually achieve that.

That's it for me today - y'all have a good rest of your day!

Tiff ;)
