How's everybody doing? Hanging in there? We're hunkering down and cooking today. Scarlett is such a good chef when she decides to cook. She's done this since she was a little girl. I remember some neat dessert she made when she was only 4-5 that had an angel food cake with a Reese's peanut butter cup on it and drizzle. I laughed but it was so tasty! Now she's able to do real meals. One of my favorites she makes is a stir fry type meal with seasoned chicken and broccoli.
Okay here's what I have for you today...

Get Your Emails to Convert Better - Part 1
It’s important to have high converting emails that bring in money but there are many things to include that it can overwhelm you. Over the coming days, we're going to talk about some ways you can ensure your emails convert. Here is part 1: Setting Your Email Goal
In order to get better conversions, you have to know what it is you want your email to do. People don't often think about that. They just think they have to stay in front of their audience or they'll forget them. That's not the way to approach it.
Instead, think about these things:
- You know the end result you want to achieve. Be specific with it - is it to get people to share something on social media? Download a freebie? Buy something? Engage on your blog? How many people would you like to see converting for that action?
- Turn freebie seekers into buyers. If you got someone on your list with a freebie, how could you strategically turn them into buyers?
- Increase conversions to specific amount. If your emails normally get 17% or so, how could you raise that to 25%? You might need to study open rates or click through rates.
- Getting feedback. People love to chime in with their opinion on things. How could you do that - ask them to reply? Ask them to comment on your blog or social post? How about a short survey? What would make them want to spend time doing that?
- Building relationships. This is where people love personal stuff. You veer off the path of business and into who they are as people - their pets, the place their live, their hobbies, etc.
- Know the action you want your reader to take. Is it a click? A purchase? A comment? A share?
- Can you overdeliver on initial sign-up reasons? You had a freebie set up, but now you're wanting improvements - can you go above and beyond with extras to get the improvements in conversions?
- What do your reader expect? Are you delivering on what you promised in terms of solutions and frequency, for example?
- What questions do they have you can answer? Seeking this kind of feedback is great because then they feel like you're helping them specifically.
- Know how often to contact them. I do daily emails. If I don't email one day, I get emails asking why I didn't email. I also have some go to my weekly email. Some come back to daily. It's funny. You will not please everyone. But I contact y'all like I contact my family and friends - daily. LOL!
- What emotions to evoke. Do you want them motivated? Riled up? Excited? Afraid? Happy and surprised?
- Know the next steps you want them to take. You need to spell it out for them. Never assume people know what you want them to do.
- Have a plan for the topics you’ll create. I like to brainstorm a week to a month out. It helps to have ideas for content and growth.
Tiff ;)
P.S. Prefer a weekly digest?
