Tomorrow Scarlett and I are going out Christmas shopping after the plumbers leave. They showed up today and have to bring some machine back tomorrow. LOL! We have one gift left to buy for each of the kids in the family we "adopted" for Christmas. The grandmom who adopted the kids whose husband just died 70+ days ago told me she was in such a state of mind she couldn't even think of Christmas shopping (too sad), so she's happy someone else took that burden (in addition to the cost) off of her.

So glad we could help. I can't wait to see their faces when we deliver it all next week. Scarlett is making Sunshine Boxes for them - you wrap a box in their favorite color and every item in the box is something in their favorite color. We did that instead of stockings filled with stuff since some people don't do the Santa part.

Repurposing and Curating Content for Emails

Repurposing and curating are both great ways to create content for your emails. Not only is it a quicker way to write content, but it helps you build your credibility as being a trusted resource.

Repurposing is the process of using content you’ve already created. For example, if you do a video, you can repurpose that content into an email. Use a portion of the video along with a bit of text and you have an email.

Other types of content that can be repurposed include: Content curation is the process of adding your voice and value to a small selection of other people’s content with credit going back to them.  This content can come from a variety of sources, around a specific topic. You publish it and share it with your added comments.

You have to be careful about proper curation techniques and not go copying and pasting with a mere quote and link. That’s not proper curation! There are entire books on it. One of my favorites that I read is called Curation Nation.

Content curation is a great way to build your authority. You’re bringing the information of others, their expertise, together in one place so your readers don’t have to go searching for it all over the internet. This helps you be seen as the go-to source for your audience about all things in your niche.

For emails, you want to keep the content shorter so don’t curate 10 pieces for one email. Instead choose two or three pieces to comment on. No matter what content you use, be sure to give a reference to the original content and only share a snippet – the majority of the piece should be your own thoughts about it.

Types of curated content you can use include: Repurposing content and using curated content are both excellent ways to create email content quickly that relates to your niche. Done right, either method can help you get through a period of “what should I send my list today” slump.

That's it for me today - have a great rest of your day!

Tiff ;)
