5 Mistakes Marketers Make with List Building

There are some things you might be doing wrong when it comes to list building.

#1 - Promising Nothing But Updates - why should anyone sign up to your list for blog post updates? They can just check back or use an RSS feed.

#2 - Requiring Too Much Information on the Opt In Form - the first name and email is fine - don't ask for their address, phone number and last name.

#3 - Not Testing the Opt In Process - It has to be functional - so add yourself to your list to make sure it's working!

#4 - Breaking Your Promises - if you promised a 12 month series, be able to keep your commitment.

#5 - Not Giving People a Chance to Subscribe at Every Opportunity - that means everywhere - upon ordering, in the blog, when they land and read, etc.

That's it for me today - y'all have a great rest of your day!

Tiff ;)
