You know how everyone basically tries to avoid getting or feeling or seeming older normally? Well turning 50 with some graying roots finally came in handy the other day! I'd scheduled a grocery pickup at two different places (one a store and one a warehouse type store for bulk pickups). The first one had my stuff ready but I never got notified the second was ready. I went anyway, even though you're supposed to wait for a notice because who wants to make two trips out and about?
I get there and there's no way to text them that you're there and well, I'm in my PJs so I can't go inside. LOL! You have to wait until they text you. I tried calling the store but no one answered. So I flag down the teenage order filler guy and with my gray roots showing and pretending to fumble with my phone (reading glasses on the end of my nose for good measure), I say, "Excuse me, young man...but I'm so confused. My daughter normally handles this gadget stuff for me but I can't figure out how to let you know I'm here. Technology is so confusing."
He kindly told me how it works (I knew lol) and said they were heavily backed up since the morning crew was a no show, so I wouldn't have gotten a text for a few more hours. Being the "confused un-tech savvy older person" he thought I was, he went ahead and grabbed my stuff for me (it was just a couple of things). Now considering never dying my roots again. There are perks to achieving AARP status!
FYI: My next major launch will be on the topic of survival in hot and cold weather conditions. I MAY have been a wee bit scarred by that winter storm. LOL! It's coming up March 17th. Stay tuned for that - and lifetimers will get it in their membership, so don't buy it if you're a lifetime member.

Alessandro Zamboni has partnered up with someone named Dirk to relaunch and update their Public Domain Image Finder software. It was originally launched in 2018.This one can be used by PC, Mac, mobile phones and tablets. By entering in your desired keyword and clicking a button, you'll be able to search 42 sources and get the results delivered in an easy to surf document.
