I was talking to an online friend who expressed her dislike for social media. So I asked what she hated about it so much. When it comes to being an online entrepreneur, you don't HAVE to use social media, but it's such a fantastic way to connect and grow your business for free. 

So this person, which many of you may resonate with - doesn't want to put herself out there as a top expert, doesn't want to be an influencer or "on" all the time, answering questions. Basically, the urge to be very behind the scenes and not engage was discussed. When you don't have time or motivation to do that, it's hard to pump yourself up to take the plunge. 

Many of us grew up in a time when privacy was paramount. And now, it's like you take a glance at FB and you know everything about everyone - down to what toothpaste they use. Eek! So if this describes you, know that you can STILL use social media! 

You can be a fly on the wall, using it for research in groups or reading comments on your competitors' posts. Think of it like doing forum research. You can ALSO create a page and use it to just post your updates for business. Never have to engage or anything, but the page allows you to use paid ads IF you want to. 

I personally, being such a hermit, love that social media allows me to make friends as pathetic as that sounds. LOL! But it's true. I'd much rather be in a private message group chit chatting than at an in person event feeling stage fright about making small talk.

Using Video Marketing to Review Products

Whenever I'm going to buy anything, I go look for a video review on it. I did it when I bought that vacuum steam cleaning thing this week. I did it when I bought survival supplies. 

Consumers like me are looking for commentary about your feelings and experiences.

Show the product and talk about product specs and features. I always look for tips and things people didn't like to see if it's a small enough hurdle for me. 

Give your results and maybe compare it to other products in the niche.
