New Limited PLR - Build a Thriving Business on Warrior Plus; Free Self Help PLR; WAH Health
Published: Mon, 05/03/21
My little Click N Grow indoor garden gadget is thriving so much it looks like a jungle! I have no idea where these peas are going - they're above the planter now, so they're way taller than the light and it says they don't harvest for like 50 more days. LOL! The tomato plant just reached the lights, too - so now I have to figure something out to keep these things growing.
Oh I have to show y'all something funny. Mia (my newest rescue dog) has decided she was going to find and gather any and all bones other dogs have hidden around the house. She literally almost disappeared in the couch cushions looking for one (she's already found several elsewhere) - I looked over and saw half a dog:

Here's what I have for you today...

Work at Home Mindless Eating
Working from home has so many perks. One of these is being able to eat at home whenever it’s time to grab a snack. But this is also one of the easiest ways to engage in mindless eating, which can be a form of distraction. When your kitchen is nearby, grabbing a bite to eat can become a habit that you use to not deal with something. For example, when you’re working on a project and you’re tired, it can be easy to go get a snack because you think that’ll perk you up.
Or, you can do it because you’re procrastinating. People do this because they’re bored, because they don’t feel comfortable about the project they need to work on, or they just don’t feel like working at all. I'm bad about doing this!
You can combat this habit by not keeping a lot of the snacks that you know are your weakness on hand. If you like to buy large boxes or packs of snacks, then separate them out into portion sizes so you’re not tempted to eat too much.
Never keep snacks at your desk or work station. This makes it too easy to give in to mindless eating and the next thing you know, it’s 9:00 A.M. and you’re already snacking.
Just because the kitchen is nearby doesn’t mean that you can frequent it without consequences to your health and productivity level. It’s important that you learn how to take a break for a snack only when it’s time to get a planned snack.
Don’t just eat to eat. You’ll gain weight and that can cause you to develop health problems over time. But you also want to make sure that you do take these breaks and not skip them.
It can be easy to get caught up in whatever project that you’re working on. The next thing you know several hours have gone by and you’re starting to feel weak. Make the time to schedule a lunch break, too.
A regular lunch break can help prevent mindless eating. You’ll also need to make sure that you’re eating a normal portion size. Because with a regular lunch break, you won’t push your hunger to the point where you feel like you’re starving.
Take a break away from your desk to care for your body. When you’ve spent hours in one position at your desk working without a break, that’s not good for you. Take the time to get up and do something physical.
These breaks will help to keep you from becoming sedentary, which can lead to weight gain and health issues, too. When you take a break, make sure that you move. The physical activity not only helps your productivity by improving concentration when you return to work, but it also helps to give you a health boost.
So when it’s time for your break, do a quick 10 minute yoga routine or go for a walk. Spend a few moments dancing to music, cleaning something or playing with your pet - whatever gets you up and moving.
Make sure you do as I say and not as I do because I'm guilty of all of the above. LOL! I'm trying to correct it, but use me as a cautionary tale.
That's it for me today - hope you have a great rest of your day!
Tiff :)
